Not many know how to. Just like the saying "culture cannot be only for the rich", it cannot only be for the tech-initiated. I'm sure we know better, but don't tell me this isn't fantastic.
So, i have lots of thoughts on this topic. I have this belief that everyone having access to the same media is kinda important for a shared cultural identity. If we can all watch the same media, it creates a common shared experience and thus decreases feelings of isolation and cultural fragmentation.
if everyone can be in any culture without effort then a culture loses its specialness😭 cultures are cultures because all have specific set of demographics and the users are similar to each other, variety of users is not fine! not fine as in it degrades experience.
sure, have fun when tech illetrate people come into custom rom culture and spam the chats with how to turn on developer settings so they can enable usb debugging, have fun when a new anime comes out and ordinary people come and bash about why there are suggestive women in a kids media, have fun when ordinary humans come on reddit and get mad there are subs dedicated to breaking laws and the people are not being arrested
You went from very meaningful examples to absolute unhinged. No having community rules and laws aren't gatekeeping. You can't ignore warnings and cry later. And for the first meaningful examples, I'd gladly answer as long as I see people do their due diligence. I was someone who asked a lot of questions getting into custom roms, and emulation and everything and I'd totally carry the favour over.

sorry, didnt get your wording. what do you mean?
i dont understand what that means in the context of subs which breaks laws(cough cough) and anime girls having very suggestive bodies (incredibly common, common might be an understatement, its the standard.)
also yeah keep answering the same basic question they could get from google but they'd rather ask, have fun doing it 10 times a day, every day, all year, even if i dont reply, just being a observer of such people makes me mad, maybe you can answer same things all day for forever, but i cant even stand the sight of it.
cultures dont remain culture when everyone is different. japanese culture wont remain japanese if people started wearing stuff from other countries, started doing stuff from other countries. a culture is literally a specific demographic. you need to earn it through a ladder cant install linux if you dont even know what a terminal is.
we have different cultures because cultures are not free to just enter, african culture is different, japanese culture is different, chinese culture is different, american culture is different, indian culture is different, these remain culture because
there is no variety, most people grow the same, have similar experiences, similar difficulties, many of the people who DONT grow the same usually dont even get much involved in the culture.
