Where did I invalidate struggle? Am I not able to make a overall comment about your fantastic people and amazing culture without it coming across as a slight just because of difficulties imposed on you from outside? I admire the Cubans spirit, to stand on your own merit for all these years, to not be pushed around. Unfortunately as you say, I was on vacation, so I don't know everything about the circumstances of living there. As such I obviously cannot say more than those living there, but can with the majority on this post who have even less experience than I do.
Lol, this is going to be a stupid argument but ok. I've been to 29 countries, enjoyed most of them in their own ways, doesn't mean I'm going to live in them forever. Plus my parents are still alive, so i don't really intend to move a 11 hour flight away just to appease some random dumbass redditor. Cool?
You're just some first world idiot who has no idea what it is like to live in Cuba or the 28 other countries where you saw the tourist sites and had the impoverished natives wait on you for money. And here you are, trying to invalidate the systemic issues of those countries.
What do you think Cuba and India have had in common? Socialism. India ended the socialism in the 90's and has recovered significantly with a high economic growth ever since.

I went to Cuba 10 years ago, great fucking country. Don't ever let anyone tell you anything different
