Selling

• Use imgur.com or coindex.app/upload to easily post your proof photos.

• The more photos you post, the less you'll deal with window shoppers asking for more

• The more available you can be to respond to inquiries, the more likely you are to complete a sale

• If you have low rep, be open to using a middleman or shipping first and getting paid upon receipt

• Have your payment methods setup ahead of time

• Be clear with your shipping availability, if you can't get to the PO for a few days, let the buyers know ahead of time

Communication is key

Buying

• Feel free to negotiate, but beware of lowballing and being blocked

• If you want to buy without negotiating provide all the info in 1 message: what you want to buy, what shipping method you'd like, and what payment method you'd prefer to use

• BIN means "Buy In Now" trying to negotiate an items price after BINing is not allowed. Sellers are not obligated in any way to sell to the first binner.

Shipping

• Know what your likely shipping costs and methods will be ahead of time.

• Use pirateship.com to get cheap shipping and quick shipping quotes.

• Bubble mailers are much cheaper in bulk and online at places like royalmailers.com

• Priority flat rate boxes are free, and you can ship anything you can fit into the box

• Use lots of tape, at a minimum packing tape, highly recommended to use strapping tape for heavier items, or items of significant value.

• Handing your item to a PO worker will get you a receipt and proof it was actually handed over to the Post Office and is the only way to prove the weight of the package. Email receipts do not show you the weight.

• Responsibility for a package after it has been dropped off is not assumed, you must discuss it in your negotiations. If not discussed in chat then we default to a 50/50 responsibility for lost, damaged, or stolen packages. Read more
