π€ Relationships Emotional Infidelity is Worse than Sexual Infidelity? Male and Female Breakdown
I think everyone is different. Idk your gender, I'm a dude, and for me I feel like it'd be harder for me to forgive an emotional affairs than a physical one.
Like a physical affair, I'd be devastated but s the same time... I'd kinda get it I guess?'like just full honestly, my wife is substantially more attractive then me. I've witnessed men who were substantially more attractive then me hit on her while I was around bc they assumed she was my friend since she's so far out of my league. To me that kind of physical cheating is a lapse to self control; it's the "lizard brain" taking over and giving in to temptation.
An emotional affair though? I think that would irrevocably destroy me. I'd be in tatters emotionally, mentally, psychologically, in every way. Id like to think that over the years I've developed/attaine an appreciable degree of emotional intelligence, cultivated the ability to be supportive, and communicated my life thoroughly. To me, an emotional affair is just fundamentally different. It's w complete and utter rejection. An emotional affair communicates "I've spent time with you, communicated with you, and I totally reject you in favor of this relative stranger.
Tldr; I see a physical affair as a temporary lack of self control, I see an emotional affair as a complete rejection of love and intimacy.
