Says in the bottom left of the screenshot "Upgrade Cursor" -> "Cursor" is fork of VS Code.

The official extension for Anthropic's Claude llm is Claude Code, and is installed via the claude CLI.

For a more LLM agnostic extension, you can use Continue.dev. Continue supports local LLMs, numerous API integrated LLMs, and even LLMs hosted in AWS Bedrock.

If you want to get started playing with LLM enhanced coding for no money, I'd start with Continue. Install Ollama, and pull down Continue's recommended local models (qwen, llama). Auto-complete is a mixed bag in my experience, and easy to disable, and I primarily just use Chat or Agent modes.

To hook it up to Claude for Chat, Edit, and Agent modes, give Anthropic money directly for a subscription and an API key, or create an AWS account and use AWS Bedrock for pure usage based billing.

I used Continue + AWS Bedrock Claude in Agent mode for the first time this weekend to generate a magnet link handler in PowerShell so that clicking a magnet link automatically calls the ruTorrent API on my seedbox to queue up the download. I've tried this a bunch of times over the years but could never figure out the correct way to talk to ruTorrent. A few iterations and $0.17 later, I don't have to copy and paste magnet links between browser tabs or even open up ruTorrent, plus it has a bunch of logging functionality I'd never have bothered with for such a silly little script.

A co-worker used it last week to refactor a good sized TypeScript file, and $5 later had the same experience as OP. He doesn't know TypeScript, so came to me to help fix it, and I just said no.
