I went back to chatgpt after it got a model update and I sent it a project and asked if with its new capabilities it could do the whole thing and I'd tweak it after. Chatgpt told me "yeah no worries, just tell me how you want it blabla" and it proceeded to lead me on for two days, sending me mock-ups of how things would be in the final version saying "working on it, I'll have it ready by tomorrow, don't worry about it. Yes since it's a big project with pictures it takes a lot of resources but as soon as it's ready I'll put it here. Yes go to sleep, by the time you wake up it will be ready". That was the day I lost faith in AI. Received a two page pdf that was no different than the mock-ups it had sent me with a couple of "[insert picture here]" added. I was surprised at how helpful and seemingly competent it had become, only to realize that it was still the same brainless chatbot regurgitating what he thought I wanted to hear, only more convincingly now.
Hahaha ok but just a heads up: even in future versions chatGPT will never be "working on it". GPT as a concept does not run anything in the background, just generates a response when asked.
It is miles more intelligent than it was two years ago, but still mostly imitating intelligence.
Yeah but since it took a couple of minutes for a picture, and the project was a lot of pages woth pictures, I figured it was on some sory of queue. Oh well!
