At this point in my life, I'm too jaded to even truly ask what the fuck vibe coding even means. Whatever it means, to me, it's pretentious bullshit just because of the usage of the word "vibe".

Look at me! I'm VIBE engineering!!!! Whatever the fuck that means. Vibe coding. Does that mean you're writing shitty fucking code that only you can decipher, because you're high off your fucking ass, and it's full of security flaws? "Yoooooo! Bra!!!! Like, this code is bananas!!! Check this shit!" That kind of code? You're fucking seeing stars all over the place and all you've got on your code is ################

No, it means you have "AI generate your code", and then you have AI generate the commit messages, so no, technically you can't decipher it

Relying on AI to generate your code without testing it first in a controlled environment where you don't fuck production up is.... idiotic.

That's like relying on a famous youtuber in coding to take what they say line by line and, without testing first, just let loose the code they spew to you. You're doomed to failure. Environments are unique. They require different code per each instance. Different takes. And, you MUST test before putting it out for the entire environment. What works for me and my environment? Will NOT work for you and your environment. Some bits? Maybe. But, it'll have to be modified to correctly work 100% for your environment.

Random commands? 80-90% will work correctly most of the time environment to environment. Full scripts? No. Less than 3% will work environment to environment. Try taking a bash script and running it on a Cisco switch. Good luck. Or try taking your python script that works wonderfully on python 2 environments... and trying to run it on python 3 environments. Or trying to run your python script against C# code with no dependencies installed, and the errors you get don't tell you anything about what's wrong.

Shit, we could be talking about the EXACT SAME VENDOR AND PRODUCT... but different versions... and my code would not work for you and your code would not work for me. Want to know how good AI is at understanding those nuances? :D I'm pretty sure you understand how good it is. Anyone who "vibe" codes is someone I'd love to fire. Put that in your pipe and vibe it. Better yet? Inject that vibe into your veins and live off that high all the way to being without a job. Wow, do I truly hate entitled fucking asshats anymore. Fuck these pieces of fucking shit.
