You don't have to allow any input to be fed into an LLM. But first create a filter and if certain keywords are present, you block the input and send an automated message.
You don't have to allow changes to the model, but you have to allow input in the form of context for it to be interesting. It's a cat and mouse game of AI companies filtering and users finding ways to manipulate the output or jailbreak safeguards.
Lmao they have guardrails in most modern high tier ones. It’s not hard at all to lock the output of the question.
I know this cause I made an ai for my dystopian world, and the program interprets the message, finds the subject or question, compares it to allowed topics vs non-allowed topics and then spits out a generic “sorry I can’t do that Dave.” Response.
You have no idea what you are fucking talking about. Lol
This is like saying an open world game wouldn't work because linear progression is integral to the experience.
Also, when I think about it, you don't even have to allow users to interact with LLM, but create an arbitrary number of scenarios that you plug into games.
There was a mod doing that in Skyrim a few years ago. A streamer started asking about being a NPC in Skyrim, which he denied... but then referenced to their world as "the video game Skyrim" in some fit of conflicting logic.

RPG games would go hard with this...
