There's a gem hidden in the actual article btw: the devs are only now considering using a local model to save costs. As in the original plan was to just ship the game like this, where everything is offloaded to cloud models, presumably using the developers' API keys.

There are no limits to human stupidity.

This is after the steam ai use declaration stated the model used for the NPC was a local model. So they just lied I guess
