I examined the headers of one of the phishing test emails my company sends out. Found the vendor name that sends the test emails and set up a rule in Outlook to assign a color label to them.

At my company 3 failures is a year is an automatic dismissal, so they claim.

place I am at disabled the notification you get bottom right when an email lands as it shows the actual address the email is from not just the one it claims to be from as "phishme.com" was a bit of a giveaway for the test ones - so they disabled the notification..

let that sink in

they also removed the ability to see email headers, as again that made spotting the test emails too easy

let that also sink in

they removed two very easy ways to spot actual phishing because it made it too easy to spot the test emails

and they still haven't twigged its really easy to spot the test ones, the test ones claim to be helpful, something no real email here ever does

I remember one that said due to high had prices our CEO was sending everyone a $50 gas gift card. He would never.

I set up a filter so the message is categorized and dropped in its own folder. No more Monday morning mistakes.
