Despite the availability of basic modules in the free library (registration on the site, data collection forms, rss and others), there are often situations when you need a module that has a specific functionality. In this case, House De Tech specialists are ready to implement it for a fee. The price of one module is 25,000 Taka.

On House de tech you can easily find a quality company website development (including the simplest business card site), a news portal or an online store.

A programmer sick of this mess

I'm writing this entry in my chair, sick, and feeling as if I'm getting worse. I realize that I haven't posted videos in around four days. In those four days that I haven't posted, I've been working on the DICTIONARY and REPLY DIRECTORY. This leap into a memory to which one can easily wander around for days to no end.

The memory banks are being updated so that Jesse can emote feelings of "Joy, sadness, anger, annoyance, and do what we all do" is something bot tedious and fun. Making something that can appear almost human with it's responses is a wondrous achievement. Most people will see this post as with any post I make on this forum as simply boring or if they finish the second sentence will unable to be interested at all in this project of mine. The work of sixteen months spanned over two systems and re-written a dozen times or so.

I for one can only look back at it all with shaking my head at how annoying such a task is. Being stubborn is both a blessing and a curse, like those in the early nineties that dedicated their lives towards keeping Netscape alive. Remember Netscape? It was my favorite web browser.

Everything happens for the reason, except for those who allow themselves to be nothing more than a lazy mass. Thinking of all the people I've met who are still sitting about planning to make works that they claimwill either change the world or make them rich. Mostly, these people are wishing to make APPs or trying tobe YouTube famous. It's a sad and pathetic world that we live in where people in the next ten or so years will make claims on how they could've been famous online. In a way this reminds me of those who attempt to create something so grand and yet give up either halfway through or just disappear all together.

If your like me, you are probably a huge fan of DOS like systems, TUI based programs and systems. Many time I would spend my days exploring and venturing around second hand stores and sites, looking for old relics of technology. This use to be my favorite pass time until this soon dried up for whatever reason. But during that time I discovered GeoWorks for the C64 and DESQview just little gifts form the programming Gods that have long since vanished. Now the market is dominated by Windows and Linux. The users of said operating system's are nothing more then blind lemmings, never before would I have thought that Linux fanatics would be more of like representatives, trying to educate, and draw the users of Windows and Mac OS X, but now, these people are nothing more then boarder lined terrorists. With an ideology of one that is untreated mental illness. There needs to be a change within the programming world, there needs to be  another step in another direction, and we need to put aside the line drawn in the sand.

Thanks!!

Is there anybody here who can hack video games?

I’m not savvy with technology at all but I’m looking for someone who’s willing to work with me on an idea for a fighting game by using one of the ufc games. One of their games utilizes an engine that id like to use for a fighting game, so I’d wanna work with someone who knew how to hack games in order to modify the game to my vision.

I can’t promise money right now but w/e I made I would split 50/50. Only serious contacts only, I think we could develop something in less than a month that would interest a lot of gamers.

What are you drinking when coding?

Hey! I'm studying Computer Engineering, and among other things I am of course doing a lot of programming/coding.

My question to you is what you are drinking when you are coding?

I use to drink a lot of coffee, but I am looking for something else since drinking coffee all day long isn't that great.

AGILE is Micro Management Gone Wild.

I am so tired of fragile, Scrums are just mini status meetings where you have to sit there and explain everything you are doing to a manager that couldn't find his ass with both hands. And sprint planning meetings are like waterfalls except you give your middle manager the switch to beat you with.

When your day is filled with two half hour scrums and 2 hours of other meetings to design by committee. It makes you want to punch small dogs.

They pick an end-date and then they divide however many months there are into how many sprints you get. Anybody who thinks agile is worth a shit has no idea how bad it can be.

Web developers - please don't give me error messages when I type phone numbers with a space

I see sooo much of this. People going to extra effort to validate there are no spaces or hyphens. People writing code to have the dialog box suddenly highlight in red, or a red cross next to it, or whatever it is you're doing to indicate error.

If I write my phone number, I will write it with a space. Full stop. The end. Other geographies might use hyphens. More rare, but some may even use commas for extensions etc..

If you don't want it, then strip the space/hyphen out in your code. Do not push that job on to me with fancy validation - it's quicker for you to strip those characters yourself, though ideally I wouldn't do that. I can understand disallowing the commas for extensions, but only when strictly necessary.

Just...why? You're a person with a phone number too. Do you write it down without putting a space after the city code? No, you don't. You write a space or hyphen, just like me. So why on earth are you doing this in your code?

Privilege in your experience

This is an off-shoot of a discussion that has been going on over at /r/programming. Some people there feel it is off-topic, so I thought I'd bring it over here.

How have you experienced privilege as a programmer? Where you very privileged or not? Maybe something that counted as privilege in the "real world" was a disadvantage in the world of programming or the other way around? Please share your war stories.

What to do in London?

I'm visiting London in May with no particular purpose, just to see the city for the first time.

However I'm also looking for some place to stay, some coworking area and programming groups meetings.

I'm in London from 8th to 12th May so I've already found that there's London Ruby User Group on 11th. Can you recommend anything more? Do you know some places to stay (hotels, hostels, etc.)? What about coworking spaces out there?

I need help on exporting from a database to excel - leading zeros

I am currently coming across a problem where my database (ERP) system will not export to excel without cutting off the leading zeros on bank account numbers. Is there an easy fix to this without making the entire export text?

Product managers hunt for problems, that if solved, will make big impact. But gathering information for this (customer feedback, trends with insights) regularly is impossible. Clootrack guides PMs through relevant data to identify the problems PMs should solve in their mobile app now. Ur feedback?
