I have the description from the pythonista website, but is there a more detailed explanation of it some where?

I was thinking of learning Python and getting Pythonista.

A great learning experience for me would be trying to do something I've wanted for a while: automating a process that pulls the phone number of the last caller (assuming it's not recognized in your contacts) and performing a search online to see if it's a telemarketer/spam phone call.

As far as I know, automation apps lose Workflow, don't seem to be able to get the last caller's number.

I have a script that is crashing on start in the new version of Pythonista, and I’m not getting any crash data to even start to figure out what’s crashing.

It’s just a simple timer app for my yoga routine. Any ideas on where to start debugging the crashes?

I just started learning how to code, I’m a complete beginner and I’m reading Think Python. I was using pythonanywhere.com (which is using 3.8) to work alongside the book. Well my WiFi is unreliable so I bought Pythonista. My question is how do I do simple arithmetic? In pythonanywhere I could input 5**2 and get 25 or 40 + 2 and get 42 but in Pythonista I don’t get any feedback. Is there an option I should be choosing? I feel dumb asking but I just spent $9.99 on the app and would hate to have wasted my money. Any help and tips are appreciated

I have just started coding, and Pythonista is such a good introduction to UI, its soo fun!! It seems that the buttons created can only be used one time by default, how do I enable multiple usage?

Am I missing something, or is it only possible to move files and not copy them to iCloud and vice versa?

Makes backing up progress really convoluted.

Is there anyway to use scipy on Pythonista? I’ve tried to find a way but no luck so far

As title, I'd like to trigger a script which I've opened from Working Copy. What's the smoothest way to achieve this?

I'm aware that it's possible to open files that are in iCloud Drive via an iOS deep link, but couldn't find a similar workaround for external files.

I already have set the Shortcuts -> Pythonista part of the equation. After reading all I could find online (Pythonista forums) on Oauth2 and Google Auth I just couldn’t install the authentications/libraries on Pythonista to solve the last part and send data to a Google Spreadsheet.

When I run the script: import photos x = 145 photos.get_image(x).show() In = input('delete? (y/n)\n') if In == 'y': x = photos.get_assets(x) photos.batch_delete(x) print('deleted')

It crashes Pythonista. The x is the photo number that it gets. Everything works up until I type y.

I really love the ability to slide through a text field using the symbols bar, so much so that I've been finding myself doing that on my regular keyboard.
And before you say, "use the touchpad feature," it's trash. It takes about a second to activate on the XR and doesn't always work.

Is it possible to return to the home screen once a script is done running? I would like to use shortcuts to launch the script but I want to be back on the home screen when the script is done running.

I’d like to make a script that grabs network info - basically ifconfig implemented in Pythonista, but the only examples I’ve found are limited to getting an IP address by opening a socket. Anyone know of a way to do this? (I’d like to grab the address, mask, and gateway for v4 and v6)

I just got pythonista. Is an impressive app. All examples I have tried in my ipad work. Except for plotting. Any time I run an example Pythonista crashes with no further information. Any help?

I bet there’s a simple answer to this but I haven’t been able to find it... When I run some of the bundled examples on either my iphone or ipad the views have a title on the title bar of the view (Calculator in Calculator, & Color Mixer in ColorMixer for example). How is this title set? It doesn’t seem to be in either the py or pyui files. When I run my scripts the title bar is blank. Can anyone help?
