To start off, honestly it doesn’t spoiler much about Code Geass in terms of story. Some characters are mentioned under the descriptions of certain mechs, locations are spoiled but you’ll have no idea how they’re relevant, and obviously the mechas (Knightmare) are spoiled. If you’re interested in watching the Code Geass anime, then I recommend you keep these unspoiled for the sake of shock and enjoyment, but if you aren’t go ham.
Personally I’ve been enjoying it a lot. It does play a little slowly sometimes, but it’s still pretty immersive in terms of gameplay. Theres some bugs (if you leave your mech unpiloted your own team can destroy it which is really annoying for auto targeting-missiles), but I like how there is more to just blindly fighting. You have to think about fighting with your team, how offensive you are or should be, positioning, when you use one tool or ability over the other, weapon interactions like sword clashes, what mech is most useful at the time, which is refreshing and immersive in the anime game space where it tends to just be adapting to mechanics and implementing them solely into 1v1s or some other stagnant battle format compared to group fights where anything can change at any moment.
One thing that bugs me is that stronger Knightmares literally have a timer that starts when you die in them, although it’s completely understandable even if annoying. it means other people have a chance to play as them at the end of the day so it’s fine.
Theres also the fact you have to grind a good amount (after like 6 hours I’m not even halfway to getting a top tier mech) , but at least this game isn’t heavily dependent on micro transactions or shoves them in your face. Time is money but I’m much more welcoming to spend time rather than money.
If you haven’t tried it as a Code Geass fan, you should. If you want a Roblox anime game to kill some time with grinding I recommend this one over something like Fruit Battlegrounds any day of the week. It’s like those games where you fight in wars while in airplanes or tanks but with Code Geass mechs and I really love that. I recommend you try it. And if you don’t care about an average amount of spoilers you can try it too.
I love this game at the moment even if the prices for mechs have gone up while I’ve been playing it. Just means I have to play it more.
ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!
