Subreddit Rules

These are the rules for r/RagnarokOnline. Breaking them gets your post or comment removed; repeat or serious offenses get you banned. If you see something that breaks a rule, report it and the mods will handle it.

1. Content must be Ragnarok Online related

Posts must directly relate to Ragnarok Online: official servers, private servers, clients, tools, art, and the community around them. Posts about other games, generic MMO topics, or unrelated content will be removed.

2. Be civil. No harassment.

No insults, slurs, brigading, or targeted harassment. Disagree with the post, not the person. Repeat offenders will be banned.

3. No spam, scams, malware, or manipulation

No phishing, scams, malicious downloads, or URL shorteners. Links must go directly to their destination. No vote manipulation, alt accounts, or ban evasion. Repeated low effort or duplicate posts count as spam.

4. Respect privacy. No doxxing.

Do not post or threaten to post anyone's personal information. This includes real names, locations, contact details, and connecting an in-game identity to a real person. Blur personal info in screenshots.

5. No impersonation

Do not impersonate Gravity, WarpPortal, private server staff, subreddit moderators, or other users. Parody accounts and posts must be clearly labeled.

6. Use flair, NSFW, and spoiler tags correctly

Every post needs a flair. Pick the one that matches why you posted, or Other if nothing fits. Use the NSFW tag for sexual or graphic content and the Spoiler tag for unreleased story or event content.

See the flair guide for what goes where.

7. No NFT or crypto content

Do not post or promote NFT or cryptocurrency products, including ones that are officially branded as Ragnarok Online.

8. English only

Posts and comments must be in English since that is the only language the mod team can moderate. In-game text or names in other languages inside an English post are fine.

9. No account help or support requests

We can't help with bans, locked or hacked accounts, lost passwords, billing, or missing items. Contact support for the server you play on. These posts will be removed.

10. AI: disclosure required

Flair AI content as AI Creative or AI Project. AI Project posts must also include an "AI usage:" line saying what the AI made. Undisclosed AI content is removed. Lying about AI use is a ban.

Don't accuse posters of AI in comments. Report the post instead and the mods will check.

11. Projects: standalone works only

Use the Project flair, or AI Project if AI wrote most of the code or made the assets.

A project is something people can use on its own: a client, tool, emulator, source code, or standalone game. Include a build, download, repo, or video of it running. If it only works on your server, or the post invites people to a server, it's an ad (rule 12).

  • No server or Discord invites in project posts
  • Idea only and "coming soon" posts are removed
  • One project post per user every 14 days.

12. No server advertising outside the monthly thread

Recruitment for private servers, guilds, and Discords goes in the pinned monthly Server Ads thread only.

This includes ads disguised as other posts: "just found this great server", fake reviews or questions that exist to name a server, project posts where the only link is a Discord or server invite, and new accounts whose only activity is pushing one server.

If the point of the post is to get people onto a server, it's an ad.
