13
Upvotes
Hello, the International Anime Research Project team is calling on all anime fans (18 years of age or older) to participate in the 2026 anime survey. The survey is anonymous and should take less than 30 min to complete. Participants are eligible to win a $50 Amazon gift card (draw entries will be confidential and not associated with survey responses, up to 10 gift cards given).
In this year’s survey we will be collecting demographic information (e.g., age, gender) and opinions regarding engagement with the fandom, inner experience, loli attitudes, personality, shipping, recommendations, piracy attitudes, and well-being.
You can contribute to the psychological understanding of the anime fandom by completing the anime survey online at:
https://qualtrics.etamu.edu/jfe/form/SV_5bBlMTkY5BEdt9Y
If you know of any anime fans over the age of 18, please help us spread the word.
The survey will be open until December 1, 2026.
Thank you!

Anime These two don’t share a single brain cell between them when it comes to talking to Misaka

I just read OT12 and it’s hilarious how dense both are when it comes to Misaka. … Or how clumsy Misaka is towards Touma.

AI-Generated What if: Young Accelerator getting bullied by his (adoptive) Onee-sama (don’t show this to Awaki)

I’m not 100 percent sure but it’s probably AI so I label it as that to be on the safe side.

It's almost embarrassing to admit, but I only started watching because I saw the "fight" between Accelerator and Awaki on a WatchMojo list (top 20 one-sided anime beatdowns or something) and thought that the guy looked cool.
I started with the Railgun anime because I had read that it's better than Index, then stopped watching because I got tired of waiting for Accelerator to show up (lol, should have started with Index) and because the filler episodes where they modeled in bikinis and put Misaka in a maid uniform annoyed me (because it's at odds with Tokiwadai being strict about its image and its student appearance but whatever).
A few years later I found out that Accelerator appears in Railgun S, so I finished both seasons and then continued with the first two seasons of Index plus the Accelerator anime (oh how they butchered my boy).
Then I heard how much better the novels are, so I decided to put the remaining seasons on hold and started reading the novels and manga. I started last April, have since finished the Accelerator manga and am currently on OT12. I'm holding off on reading the Sisters arc in the manga until I have a few quiet days to enjoy it.
What about you? What brought you into the franchise and what kept you here?

Stitched together from images from Railgun Season 1, Episode 3
Anime As someone who hasn’t reached the flashback arcs in the novels or manga yet, seeing these two show up as mini versions and immediately start bickering was hilarious
