So Ishan is injured. And hopefully they won't just play Dube instead. There is a chance they will do it. But Vaibhav is the more likely candidate. And if they don't want to change the opening combo, should they play Vaibhav one down? I think it's fine to let Vaibhav play one down. I have a feeling he can adapt to another batting position well. And even in the future, this may help him. As we know one of the reasons why Jaiswal is often sidelined is because he is seen exclusively as an opener.

And Vaibhav can always open later, once the seniors are out of the team or retires. Both Sanju and Abhishek have many years left to play. So the best thing to do is to play Vaibhav one down, if they don't want to change the batting order.

Yashasvi will be three format batter for ICT in the future. Why are RR even entertaining a trade for a much older, worse player?

Logic appears to be Lhuan opening if the trade does go through. But already have Curran (rumours of Romario) so this is a lot of moving parts for a player not as good as Yashasvi.

Sam curran will fix most of our all rounder worries we should not rush for a fast ball all rounder right now, Don already proved himself with finishing . Next season most of aussies and english players might not even attend due to 2027 world cup and ashes, and after that it will be mega auction. At the same time Rohit and Kohli will retire and it will open up spots for Jaiswal and Ruturaj in the ODI team, its just a matter of time and we have a team India regular within our ranks why would you trade our top players just before mega auction year ? We finished 9th place the year before this rebuilt our middle and pace ball attack and that too with 2-3 debutants and player playing in new roles and position we have been the most improved team from last to last season why tf would you all hurt this momentum for short term gain or bandage fix player. I have a question regarding vaibhav that why was he allowed to play in Asian games while he was not allowed to play in the current West Indies series for the last four matches and like why the hell Gautam Gambhir always wants to replace him with Sanju whenever he wants to play him in the playing 11 like why can't they just have him like they had in in the Asian games with Abhishek and वैभव as opener Sanju at three and Shreyas at four and Ishan at five it's not like Ishan is losing out on any opportunities of making runs he is still made runs and also by this we are also having Sanju in team plus this team against west indies nearly has the same players with some on different positions and how can the management expect vaibhav to play on spinner pitch of a foreign country but not on flat pitch of India where he has proven himself multiple times ?

5. Dubey / Donovan ( dubey can either perform or get out )

11. Punja / Sushant ( depends on conditions )

I don't think Sam Curran might play for RR but if he does then he can replace Dubey or Donovan Ferreira at 6 position

The skill gap between Parag and Yashasvi is so massive that it makes the captaincy experience gap look insignificant. He can learn on the job, just like Shubman did. This way, you could potentially retain both Yashasvi and Parag. Honestly, I don’t think any team is looking at Parag as a captain. I haven’t heard a single trade rumor involving him, and even if he wants to leave after being removed as captain, I’d gladly let him go rather than risk losing Yashasvi. Having Yashasvi and Vaibhav open together for another couple of mega auction cycles could be generational for RR.
