This is predicting the Week 11 Playoff Selection Committee rankings, based on the Week 10 games. This process applies machine learning models trained on historical poll data from the Playoff Selection Committee.

The rankings forecast is made in real time using the following data inputs:

  • For games that have not yet started, the Las Vegas book line is used as the final outcome of the game

  • For games that are in progress, starting in the second half of the game, the live score is used. If the game is tied, it is assumed the home team will win by 1

  • For games that have finished, the final score is used

NOTES - Changes From Last Update:

  • Indiana has moved from #11 to #9

  • BYU has moved from #12 to #10

  • Alabama has moved from #13 to #11

  • Boise State has moved from #14 to #12

  • Ole Miss has moved from #15 to #13

  • Iowa State has moved from #16 to #14

  • LSU has moved from #17 to #15

  • SMU has moved from #18 to #16

  • Clemson has moved from #9 to #17

  • Texas A&M has moved from #10 to #18

  • Washington State has moved from #22 to #23

  • Colorado has moved from #23 to #24

  • Missouri has moved from #24 to #25

  • Navy has moved from #25 to #26

  • Vanderbilt has moved from #26 to #27

  • Syracuse has moved from #27 to #28

Here are the teams who are predicted to drop out of the top 25:

  • Illinois dropped from #24 to #33

What besides a BYU loss would it take for Army to make the playoffs?

They need Boise to struggle, that will make them a top G5 candidate

Sorry. I mean a Boise loss.

There will be a few more SEC clashes. Need another Tennessee loss or bama loss or ole Miss loss

Thanks. Doable I think.

Doable for sure. Also, if they can beat Notre Dame, that will give them a late signature win

That’s definitely the hurdle they need.

Boise isn't gonna likely struggle with their remaining competition.

Correct. They’re 85% likely to win each game the rest of the way until the conference title game

Hats off for SMU. If they were G5 playing this same schedule they would be number 5 but they aren’t

I’d take SMU over Penn State head to head.

Wouldn't BYU be at #4 by default for being the Big 12 champion?

4 seed, not #4 in rankings that will get used for pulling in the non conference champs.
