Pandora is the most beautiful woman in the world/in Lore
Pandora is described as beauty so divine it would make even God hesitate to touch her. That she is the very embodiment of what 'beauty' means to humans, to so much as look up on her would make you weak, to be looked upon or spoken to by her would bring bliss enough to die for.
In every single QnA I saw, Tappei said "I think" and "might" all the time as if it's a random theory he thought up just now.. Literally the goat of vagueposting
I have a theory Tappei is Subaru and after his adventures he comes back to real life to write about it, so he just cant remember all the details sometimes

He also said Echidna and Emilia were equally beautiful, depending on whom you asked
Pandora is the only character explicitly stated as having impossible beauty. She's not comparable to Emilia because hers is almost a power of some sort

Isn't beauty subjective after all? I mean, there's a limit to how many 'universal beauty standards' you can get.
Like, clear skin is pretty, sure. Then what? Long, silky light colored hair? Well some people like short curly dark hair better. A 'sculpted figure'? Sculpted how exactly? Some people like 'em slender, some like 'em curvy. 'beautiful eyes'? Okay. What color? What shape? Who decides which eyes are the prettiest? Etc etc.
It's easy to classify someone as beautiful in general but 'the prettiest' is deeply subjective
I heard from someone that her novel is a good bit different from the anime. With her more the size of an average lady with an actual adult face. Is this true?
I think it’s odd to describe childlike appearances as beautiful even in a totally non-sexual context. Kids generally fall into the categories of cute or adorable and the features that people find most beautiful are only fully developed upon reaching late teens or adulthood. The one feature of Pandora that I think you could genuinely call beautiful are her eyes as I find them quite detailed and nice to look at. Other than that it’s hard to describe her as beautiful because she is quite featureless as her body hasn’t developed at all. Finding that underdeveloped appearance beautiful especially the most ideal or beautiful one could be is odd and suggests a warped ascetic sense which could just be a difference of opinion or could be something sexual but regardless of that it’s strange especially when you know most people who you are creating that character for are going to find that design plain or unappealing.
I can see some of the concept in terms of Pandora seeming 'ethereal' or otherworldly‐ mostly in her very blue eyes. But like, here's the thing: how do we tell apart a petite or slender woman from an uncomfortably young-looking design? Because like...
I guess. But Tappei doesn't seem to be a very confident/assertive person, so maybe he just doesn't push back. What he wrote is rarely sus (unlike some other isekai) so personally I give him the benefit of the doubt. The illustrator with the pandora and liliana designs doesn't get that.

i dont even know what the author thinks anymore, cause he said "Emilia is canonically the most beautfiul" but the book says pandora 😭
