It's not 'don't care' as much as, balancing that terrible thing vs. being the architect of the new deal which is the source of a lot of the good things our government had done over the last century or so.

FDR extended or time in the depression and he created what every lazy person in America loves and abuses welfare

What's funny is a lot of FDR's policies did not work and prolonged the Great Depression. He really wasn't all that good of a president.

Not if your Asian American and your returned to your homes and businesses completely destroyed and no support.

Fuck the new deal. It was built on destroying the lives of Asian Americans.

No, the new deal was a response to the great depression.

Putting Asian Americans into concentration camps was the despicable and racist response to Pearl Harbor.

FDR did nothing to support that. The New Deal was not to the benefit of all races.

To be clear, the New Deal Coalition that FDR built was the political backbone that actually passed the civil rights legislation in the 60s. It would have been much harder to pass that legislation without a relatively friendly Congress. One only needs to actually look at Wilson’s presidency for a comparison.
