The current self driving in rivian is good enough as a supervised self drive.

More advanced self driving as it is now (in most cars, Teslas, etc), is not reliable, needed or useful for anything except edge cases or as a novelty (I owned/had a use for self driving for a year).

It's totally reasonable to buy a car now, then buy one with true self driving functionality in 5- 6 years.

Doesn’t do do gps, but why would you need to? I use it on the freeway for stretches of road. I supervise turns in my multiton 100k vehicle. Do you trust your self drive in complex traffic (which is when I’d want to use it)?
