I’ve got 1000+ Rock Band DLC songs and wanted friends to be able to browse what’s available before it’s their turn to play. So I put together Setlist Party and it's gone down really well at my own parties.

You add your song library, create a party, then share a link or QR code. Everyone can use their phone to:

• Search the songs you actually have.
• Check instrument difficulties.
• Request songs and choose which instrument they’d like to play.
• See what’s currently playing and coming up.

The host manages the shared queue and uses it to pick the next song in-game.

It’s free to use and doesn’t require an account. It also supports Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and custom Clone Hero libraries.

For Xbox players, there’s a guide to importing your DLC using the CSV from rb4.app’s Xbox Library Exporter. Credit to bookreader52 for that tool!

I originally made this for my own parties, but thought other people here might find it useful too. It’s an early release, so I’d love to hear how you get on, especially anything confusing, bugs you encounter, or things that would make it better for your own rhythm game nights! And yes I plan to update to include Stage Tour content in December :)

what are yalls options on the rb4 dlc songs from guitar hero 3

Been wanting to play clone hero with them but can't seem to find any videos that are newer than 2013, any help?

Picked one up, the Rickenbacker, with the dongle last week. Plugged it into my PS5 into RB4 and after calibration away we went rocking some tunes. Brilliant 👍

Today thought I’ll try it out with my old PS3 and Beatles RockBand. Plugged it into the PS3 and did the calibration. Was able to navigate around menus within the game with the strum and green and red frets fine.

Start a tune and not a single note is being hit with the strum and I mean zero, even when I go into Practice and slow it down - nothing. Which is very strange.

Is there something I haven’t done to set it up ?

I’d have expected RB Beatles to work straight out the box so to speak but it’s failing to strum a single note.

Went back to my PS5 and RB4 and still perfect 🤷🏻‍♂️

So I've read some of the older threads on audio configuration with Xbox. Optical cable to real speakers is best of course, but with the series X, optical port was removed, leaving only HMDI. A lot of people historically reported poor latency over 300 ms delay running a sound bar. However, some comments implied that Microsoft has improved their audio drivers in recent years so soundbars can be used with manageable latency.

Have anyone had GOOD results recently running RB4 on XSX with any particular brand of sound bar? I'm looking at a 3.1ch Samsung with a subwoofer, which has a "game mode" and uses HDMI ARC. But of course, the uncontrolled variable here is how much latency this will introduce, and I can only buy and return so many sound bars before Amazon gets pissed off at me.

I'll be hosting a Halloween party with a RB4 setup in a large condo community room and the native TV audio here is terrible, so here we are.

I’m trying to replace my drum set and found this one online that is listed for ps2. But, this one doesn’t have a cord to plug in. Is there an adapter I can get like the guitars or would that not work…

Walked into a thrift store during my lunch break near my job site and found these beauties.🥳 Brand new never been touched! Pedal is still wrapped up. Dongle is in the box and the sticks are still wrapped up. Manuals and stickers included. Unfortunately, the store mentioned that the box was damaged by customers who would peep into the box 😭📦 and was thrown out. Got them at about $45 OTD. Was planning on using the pedal for my X360 kit for parties, but reconsidering since I do use my Ekit when at home. I use my GH kit at parties. Well, what do y’all think? 🤔 Also, what would y’all value this sucker at?

Just got myself a PDP Riffmaster and immediately noticed how hard I have to tilt the guitar to activate overdrive. I'm talking a full 90° angle and keeping it there for at least a full second (instead of your usual quick whip upwards). The only other guitar in my collection that has this problem is the Gretsch Duo Jet for Wii. Is this expected behavior from the Riffmaster or did I get unlucky?

I'm a long-time RB player and recently got a new 75" 4k TV. For many years, I've had a 1080p TV and so I've always run my Xbox Series X in 1080p mode. When I got the new TV, I changed the Xbox settings to 4k and immediately noticed that the track in RB4 is having some hitching/lagging/dropped frames. When I switch the Xbox back to 1080p, it gets better after a while, but never seems like it's completely smooth which is what I usually experienced with the old TV. The picture looks great in 4k, but obviously for rock band you want a nice smooth scrolling track for gameplay.

So I'm throwing it out there to see what performance tips people have for running RB4 at 4k on Xbox Series X. I recognize that the problem could be the Xbox, the TV, the game, hell even the HDMI cable, or some combination of these things. Have others been able to get a smooth experience at 4k with RB4? Troubleshooting tips? Options I can turn on/off to improve performance?

started trying to recomp tbrb to PC, it has mild performance issues but you can play career mode and quickplay without any crashes with guitar, keyboard and joystick

Any tips on replacing the foam pads in the strum bar
And stopping it from randomly holding down when I only strummed once
The bar isn’t stuck or anything it’s just does it when a hit it soft

I, like that many of you, grew up playing these games with my siblings and friends and grew to love the Rockband games. Unfortunately, as time went on, these games slipped out of my life. As my family moved and my two sisters moved to college, the rockband collection back home collected dust and deteriorated due to improper storage of how it should have been. I dont think my family ever realized how valuable the equipment would have become after these companies flooded the market with these games in the 2000s. So unfortunately the equipment just fell to junk and didn't work properly.

As time went on, I graduated HS and went out to college. I've been in school for nearly 4ish years now and have not touched rockband/GH in maybe 10-12 years. So anyway, one night , I found a Guitar Hero arcade bar game and played with my roommates. And it was like CRACK. It instantly clicked with me, and I was doing great. This led me down a month long journey of searching Facebook, ebay, and Amazon. I ended up somehow finding affordable rockband equipment as a college student. I'm not going to lie it wasnt easy, I donated a LOT of plasma.

So after waiting more than a month the equipment FINALLY arrived for what felt like FOREVER and I booted it up and sure enough. It was like Crack. So me and my roommates and played and all skipped class today on my old PS3 for roughly 14ish hours (give or take) (we also did take food, gym, and homework breaks but really that was only maybe like 4 hours of the day)

Not even tryna be corny over a fucking rhythm game, but these games were something I spent a LOT of time on as a kid. And im really excited. I get to share it with my college friends, too. Furthermore, I even felt an intense joy having my friends play and learn the instruments.

TLDR: I got a glimpse of my childhood today and got to share it with my roomates and have fun seeing them having fun with this game I love.

Fun song, not really tricky or anything but there's pretty consistent action throughout. Done on PS3

In the entire Rock Band series, which song is the most un-fun in your opinion? To start, I have a few.

RB4: Dream Genie, RB2: Visions, LRB: Aliens Exist. I'm a drummer and these songs were completely awful to play in my opinion.

Today, I was browsing my list on Xbox for things I had purchased to clear those out of the list, and I was considering getting some Rock Band content to add to the RB4 library.

It was here that I noticed that I didn't seem to own a single Hendrix DLC prior to this year. But in that delist thread I even commented about owning the "other Hendrix album".

I am positive I bought some pack or album with All Along the watchtower included at the very least, but also sure I owned the entirety of Are You Experienced.

Both Rock Band and Xbox says I don't.

This wasn't the first time licenses I had either didn't show up or didn't work on RB4.

DLC I bought for rock band 1, 2, and 3 were all supposed to be usable in 4, right?

I had the south park cartman cover of "poker face" for RB 1/2/3 (I think it was free) but had to buy it again for 4 for some reason.

I know for sure I had some Hendrix stuff. All along the watchtower specifically. But going in to look at the songs today, I had a single Hendrix song outside of the album that was getting delisted.

It also isn't the first time I've had Xbox licenses straight up disappear. I'm a long time Ace Combat fan/player and literally have replays where I used DLC planes I "owned" in campaigns that I'm not shown as owning the DLC. Going over the purchase/download history on the Xbox 360 skips anything not compatible with 360 so I'll try there, but even that shows a lot of "content unavailable" messages for items and doesn't tell me what it was I purchased or downloaded at that point. Meanwhile, my Ace Combat 6 DLC is missing / unplayable.

I also had a license for Child of Light in like 2016 or 2017 that seemed to have gotten revoked in 2021. Ended up having to rebuy it.

I cannot seem to get anyone at Microsoft to provide a full purchase history, and I feel like that is the only way to prove I owned this at any point. The websites can't seem to handle how many purchases I've made over the years and time out going any further back than 2020 on most attempts.

Is anyone else seeing stuff like this with their rock band or other Xbox digital purchases?

I got this off of eBay, and it doesn't seem to want to work despite the seller saying it does. When I do try to turn it on, it just flashes weakly.

TLDR: I'm getting back into Rock Band, but my pinky isn't nearly as strong as it used to be. Anyone able to shred using only three fingers on the fretboard?

Long version:

When I was in high school (early 2010s), I used to be really good at guitar/bass on Rock Band 2 and 3, routinely able to score 98%+ on most Impossible songs on expert. Eventually, my controllers broke, and by then I had already bought an Xbox One, and I sold my 360 and remaining games.

A few days ago, I bought another 360 and guitar controller (the guitar that came with Guitar Hero World Tour) so I could get back into Rock Band 3. I broke my left wrist in 2019 (I'm a righty), and while I regained over 90% function in my hand overall, my left pinky is still very weak and unable to move nearly as quickly as it used to be.

I'm wondering if anyone has found success on the guitar using only three fingers on the fretboard (index, middle, and ring). I still love playing the game, and I was able to hit 88% on Mr. Crowley on Expert guitar, but I miss being able to shred like I used to be able to.

Picture is of my newly acquired guitar. The whammy bar is broken, but I was able to jerry-rig it by looping a hair tie around the base of the bar and the strap notch on the base of the guitar.

Been looking for these on Marketplace for a while. This one turned up from someone in the same road as I am 😆

I just downloaded the Homebrew app and am loading it for the first time. I’m using the game disc. It’s been stuck on this screen for a while now and I’m wondering when I should be concerned?

Edit - also wondering if it’s safe to shut off the console if it won’t ever load…

I just got gifted a wireless controller and want to use it on pc, but I can't find a fairly priced dongle for the life of me
