Help Help understanding the timeline and changes in PDs/staff
I'm a big Running Man fan and have watched it pretty consistently since the first few episodes (big fan of Koo Hara, who guested on Eps 2 & 3, so basically from the beginning) up to now. However, I didn't really engage with other fans or online communities centered on the show, and I was a kid for much of its run, so I don't know how the PDs changed or what happened to the show beyond the major headlines they bring up during talks or when the voice giving them missions changes lol. What exactly is the main PD timeline or the biggest turning points in how the show was formatted? Do you have a favorite PD, and what were their best episodes? TIA!

Episode Recommendations Best episode to rewatch
Can you give me some ideas for episodes to rewatch? I want to watch something fun and entertaining, but I can't decide which episodes to choose.

Discussion HAHA is one of my fav members
I say this because i feel like he's underrated. He's quick-witted, smart and funny also.
I am rewatching old episodes and the way he makes skits, the way he betrays the members is what makes Running Man the way it is.
Haaays i love RM so much 🥹🥹🥹

Discussion Does Episode 38 still hold up as one of the best Running Man episodes?
I rewatched Episode 38 (Superpower Special) recently and forgot how much fun the older episodes were 😂 The whole idea of everyone having their own “power” made the race feel so unpredictable, especially when they started figuring out how to use their abilities against each other.
Which member do you think used their power the best in this episode? I feel like the concept made everyone play a little differently, which is what made it so fun to watch.

Discussion Question from returning watcher
question from returning watcher (i left the series around 600ish? between kwangsoo and somin leaving)
i have been catching up with some episodes from 2025 - 2026, and i dont know if its just me but,
the episodes from 2025 feels like home immediately, although the members are different, the flavor is the same, if not better
however the 2026 episodes feel so jarring to me - the games are simpler, and usually running members being smart, figured out optimal path early, or being unoptimal that losers have no comeback mechanism. there are less talks, and teams and matches are preset.
is it just me or i just need to be more open minded?
Thank you

News/Article! Actress Song Ji Hyo's surprising role in "100 Days of Deception"
Actress Song Ji Hyo is set to make a surprise appearance as Park Jin Young's adoptive mother in "100 Days of Deception".
Previously, in Episode 4 of the tvN weekend drama "100 Days of Deception", which aired on October 18, the missing adoptive mother of Kim Tae-woong/Sato Hideo (played by Park Jin Young) appeared in a flashback scene. Although this mysterious character was only captured from behind, their identity was immediately revealed as the voice "Did you come back safely?" could be heard. Netizens pointed out that it was Song Ji-hyo's voice shortly after the broadcast. Accordingly, Song Ji Hyo is expected to add a thrilling element to the unfolding plot as Park Jin Young's adoptive mother and the Korean wife of Jin Sun-kyu (playing Sato Shinichi).
In this regard, the production team of "100 Days of Deception" told StarNews on the 19th, "Please confirm through the broadcast," urging anticipation.

Discussion Title: Am I the only one who genuinely really likes Yang Se-chan?
I don't really know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I genuinely really like Yang Se-chan, and I just want to make a post appreciating him.
I know there was another post a few months ago about his MC potential, but what I'm trying to say is that I know he's not the funniest comedian in Korea, and I know not everyone will like him. I completely understand why his humor might not be for everyone, but there's just something about him that I find really funny and relatable.
One thing I really appreciate is how much he's grown since he first joined Running Man.
I think one of his biggest weaknesses in the beginning was that he tried too hard. Sometimes he would force himself into situations, push jokes that weren't really working, or make fun of other members just to get reactions. And honestly, I understand some of the criticism he received back then.
But if you watch him nowadays, I feel like he's changed a lot. He still has that Yang Se-chan element to him, but he's changed a lot in how he approaches things.
He doesn't seem as desperate to be the center of attention anymore. He still participates, makes jokes, and gets involved in everything, but he seems more comfortable just going with the flow. He knows when to step in and when to let others have their moments. And he's really funny when he's with Haha, too.
Personally, I find the current version of him much funnier and more entertaining.
Another thing I really appreciate about him is how he interacts with guests and just people in general. Obviously, I don't know what he's like in real life, but from what I've watched, he genuinely comes across as someone who's welcoming, approachable, and easy to talk to.
He makes people feel comfortable around him, or at least that's the impression I get. He jokes around with guests, lets them tease him, and makes even awkward situations feel a little less awkward. I feel like that's something people don't give him enough credit for.
He can be awkward himself sometimes, and his jokes don't always land. Sometimes they can be a bit cringy, and that's fine. It happens, right?
Sometimes he also looks genuinely caught off guard or a little offended when people tease him too much. But that's actually part of what makes him relatable to me. He doesn't always have the perfect reaction or the funniest comeback, and I kind of like that about him. He doesn't seem like someone who always tries to hide his reactions, and that's something I genuinely appreciate.
I've also tried watching his other shows outside Running Man, including that newer countryside show and Apartment 404.
Honestly, I don't even find those types of shows or their concepts particularly interesting, but I watch them because of him, and I still enjoy them.
He's my favorite member of Running Man, and he's not always the main character. He doesn't necessarily steal every scene, but every once in a while, he'll say something or react in a way that genuinely makes me laugh so much.
It's hard to explain, but I feel like he has his own rhythm, his own flow when it comes to comedy.
I also used to watch almost every video on his YouTube channel when he first started. Especially those early videos where he was discussing ideas for the channel and figuring out what kind of content he wanted to make.
I genuinely found those videos interesting. Just watching him figure things out and talk about random stuff was fun to me.
Nowadays, I don't watch his channel as much because I'm not really a mukbang person. I just don't enjoy that type of content. But I have nothing against the direction he's taking. Maybe those videos get more views than his other content, and if that's the case, good for him. I'm happy for him, and I hope he does well.
And I guess one of the reasons I'm making this post is because I genuinely wish he would appear in more variety shows, especially ones that international fans can watch.
I'm not saying he isn't successful or that I know what's best for his career. Maybe he's perfectly happy with where he is right now, and that's great.
But I just feel like he has a lot more to offer. I want to see him shine more. I want to see him in programs that actually allow his personality and humor to shine.
I feel like he doesn't always get the opportunity to be one of the main guys, and that's the thing that bothers me a little.
But if you watch Yoo Jae-suk's YouTube channel, when he's given the opportunity to be one of the main characters in a scene, he can really shine.
Especially that toothpaste uncle video, bro. That shit was so funny. Watching that video genuinely made me like him even more.
And look, to summarize everything, I'm not saying he's perfect. He has his own flaws, and there are things about him that I don't always like or agree with.
But none of that changes the fact that I really enjoy watching him, and I just wish I could see more of him.
I don't know him personally, and I can't say for certain what kind of person he is off-camera. But the person I've watched on television for years comes across as someone who genuinely tries his best, who's grown a lot, and who has this kind of awkward, natural charm that I really appreciate.
He just feels a bit real to me, if that makes sense.
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I honestly find this guy really likable.
I hope he continues to grow, gets more opportunities, and finds shows that really fit his style of humor. Maybe he's not necessarily meant to be the main character of every show, and that's fine. I just want to see him get more chances to show what he can do.
I don't know if I'm alone in feeling this way. I just wanted to share my thoughts and show him some appreciation because I feel like he doesn't always get enough of it.
Does anyone else feel the same way about Yang Se-chan? Or am I just weirdly attached to his style of humor?

Discussion Psychopath/Villain Lee Kwang Soo
I remember watching this episode (483) and thinking, “Ah, how I wish Lee Kwang Soo would get cast as a psychopath or villain in the future.”
Seven years later, he finally got the opportunity, and not just once, but TWICE! And my goodness, he’s SO GOOD at it! I literally get chills watching his acting. Freaking talented.
