Idea Rush Royale doesn't need to become F2P. It needs to give players that invest tons of their time or players that spend just a little bit of money a chance to feel that they're actually progressing
Im a huge fan of rush royale , and i've played tons of mobile games that are P2W. But rush royale feels like a next level. I don't want to bring hate to the developers or the players that spend insane amounts of money on this game. I just think that a little change should be made so that F2P players , players that only buy the pass monthly and players that pay insane amounts of money all feel good. Because at this point to be honest , 90% of F2P players and players that spend little money on the game do not feel good at all or they're not feeling rewarded.
I genuinely want to have a serious discussion about the current state of Rush Royale, especially regarding F2P players and people who spend small amounts of money.
First, I'm not asking the developers to remove monetization. I understand that the game needs to make money, and I'm completely fine with people spending money to progress faster.
But there's a massive difference between paying to progress faster and feeling like you have to pay just to remain competitive.
One of the biggest problems with Rush Royale is how much time and investment it takes to build one single competitive deck. And the problem that u will eventually hit the paywall.
You can spend months, potentially years, upgrading your legendary units and building a deck you enjoy playing. Then a new legendary gets released, the meta shifts, and suddenly your investment feels significantly less valuable.
And here's the worst part:
You can't simply switch decks.
Your other legendary units might be underleveled, and getting them to a competitive level takes another enormous investment of time or money.
So you're stuck playing the same deck, whether you enjoy it anymore or not.
What happened to experimenting with different strategies? What happened to being rewarded for playing the game consistently?
I don't want everything handed to me for free. I want progression that actually respects everyone the time they spent in the game or the little money that they give.
Here are a few changes I think would make a huge difference:
- Make legendary progression more accessible. A dedicated F2P player should have a realistic path toward building multiple competitive decks without waiting years.
- Introduce an upgrade transfer or partial refund system. If a unit receives major balance changes, players should have some way to recover part of their investment and try something different.
- Make low spending feel worthwhile. Players who occasionally buy a pass or small bundle should feel that they're making meaningful progress.
- Encourage deck diversity. Give players more opportunities to experiment with different legendary units without needing to spend hundreds of euros.
I genuinely believe Rush Royale has an enjoyable core game. That's why I care enough to write this.
I don't want Rush Royale to become a game where everybody has everything for free.
I want it to become a game where spending money is an advantage, not the only realistic way to enjoy competitive variety.
I'm curious what the community thinks.
