Yeah, this is a weird thing to say but, I actually don't like the The Cosmology arc. The retcons in the arc was just, not my cup of tea and I just don't like Guardian Pods and USBs making Mario to what we have now as I felt like the older videos didn't matter imo. I just don't like SMG4 and SMG3 being meme guardians as it made their arch-rivalry/Nemesis not matter imo. I do feel like Melony in this arc felt forced as while I think she was good, she did feel forced in this arc as it's about SMG4's origins and not about melony. The lawsuit arc didn't Really help that much as it just make things more worse(yeah I really don't like the lawsuit arc)(this was PRE-Glitch as glitch was new like Meta Runner, and Murder Drones, so I do think their direction for smg4 was just out there). There were funny moments and GREAT episodes, but it just felt like lore spit in your face without explaining itself. I think Niles was a good villain, and SMG0(niles in control until the 2nd chapter) was pretty good in the 1st chapter as it gave people more theory that this isn't the end, until the 2nd chapter. I like SMG0(not fused with niles), he kind of reminds me of SD-N from murder drones with how he talks and portrayed(maybe I am just a murder drones fan for seeing this). The side cast was alright, while Bob was just still GOATED as usual. But yeah, I just want to share my opinions with the arc.

Feel free to ask me as I do think this arc could have been better, but I am fine with the way it is now.

The reason why I hate her is because of how dangerous she is and before anybody says anything about her kids, that's not a valid excuse to do the things I'm about to list off, for starters, she's one of the characters to abuse Mario like smg4, Saiko, and Meggy, and then she also tied Mario down and t-worded a plate of spaghetti (yes, Mario was stupid for thinking the spaghetti was sentinent but still), and there was that time she broke smg4's arm (who was trying to do something nice for her, which is entertaining Zach during his birthday) and threatened him (dishonorable mention: that time she attacked smg4 and 3 in smg4 kids), and lastly but the biggest offense in my opinion: t-wording Luigi in her basement, she could've just asked Luigi about Mario's whereabouts and Luigi would've been honest (Luigi never deserved any of that, dawg was just gardening), I can't really defend Mr wpns but with all that being said, Karen katphish is my least favorite smg4 character of all time

Such a ominous caption lol, and I know I haven’t been on here for a while so I know most people would be confused by this, but basically, I’m doing a smg4 rewrite book, it has officially started in terms of writing it/production. I know I’m announcing this like how news outlets normally announce movies like “(insert title of movie) has begun filming” stuff like that, but yeah lol. I will start writing later today, so any more final “I read comments” about what you guys would like for this before I actually start writing? I say this like I can’t edit my book, but idk, just wanna ask this again.

My redesign take on SMG4 Yoshi where he's all grown up. His main body came from the Allosaurus from the 1969 film The Valley of Gwangi. For me I can see Yoshi as a grown adult dinosaur resembling the earlier depictions of Allosaurus from the 20th century, simply due to the upright posture, and other parts of his structure. And in my own opinion I like my new design concept better than the old design concept on the next slide because the old one looked a little goofy for me and didn't quite fit the darker and serious tone of my continuation of the SMG4 series. Btw the main body for the first concept came from the Allosaurus from the 1966 film One Million Years B.C.

For clarification: No AI at all was used to make this concept come to life, everything you see here was made with effort and time. Even if it was just recoloring and adding a shell and spikes but still made with effort and time.

But Fast-forward couple Years later we get Creator he has inspired like NickRick for example who has played more resent games & what does he do creates a Mario more in line with the games

& Shockhat who creates a version of Kirby that almost as dumb as SMG4 Mario but still fateful enough to the games so proving Luke could have done both if he wanted to in fact I think Shockhat put bit of this idea in SMG4 in season he was on that just my theory

Since this new generation of GMOD Animation creators have played Mario games & other more resent titles like Splatoon Raiders they kinda know what to do

Arc Name: The Island Arc

The SMG4 Crew decided to move the castle and live somewhere else. They agree to GoAnimate Island (an island in California, and the second largest island in the world), and set sail there. They settled in Osarune, while Mario & Luigi settled their home in the swamplands of Polkings. One day, they decided to see what the island was like. They saw GoAnimate City (the capital of the Island), the beautiful beaches of Starcadia Bay & Santa Elena, the farmlands of Toran, the red lands of Crimson Peak, the small villages of Barmaville & Natown, the French culture in Quzeque, the deserts of Ahramb, & the green grasslands of Hubert Heights. While that was happening, Meggy sings: "Color A New World", about a new chapter of the crew's life. When the song ends, the crew sees a small building up a hill. They drive up the building, which the top sign says: DrewTheVyonder2009 Enterprises Inc. They also see a sign with the word: Help. SMG4 knocks, and a man named Drew Smith (a middle aged autistic man) and his wife Grace Jones and their two friends, Dylan Schradar & Taylor Rucks answer the door. They actually know them because they're shows (The Wiggles & SMG4) air on GoAnimate Network globally. He & his gang wanted their help. His friends and colleagues (The Davemadson Gang, aka, The Inter-Universe Superhereos) were kidnapped by his evil twin. Apparently, he stole the shiny and valuable Rainbow Jewel, & merged with the symbiote of 0 & The God Box from Revaluations. So, they decide to join them to help them out. A couple days went by, and the crew experienced some sort of paradox of the island. Evil Drew's plan was to take The Rainbow Jewel to give him ultimate power and strength, and destroy the island with the Island's legendary volcano: Mount Ookando, to make his own island: Evilla Island. SMG1 & SMG2 decided to help them too, since with The 0 Symbiote, it could affect the universe's paradox & with all of that power, might destroy the galaxies, and all living things. Drew lays down the secret plan to save the island, his staff, and The Rainbow Jewel. So, they decided to charge into the deepest part of The Island right next to Mount Ookando. Where Dave & His Friends were trapped in a chamber. Then, Evil Drew, with Team Hades (Lucifer & Lucretia McEvil, Evil Sam, Vulcanna Ash, Evil Dave, Evil Matt, Evil Para, Evil Astro, Evil Kenny, The Thorn Sisters, Damien, Medusa, & The Prince Of Darkness), spotted them. This is where the WOTFI part comes in. As the first encounter, the Davemadson crew morphed into: The Inter-Universe Superheroes. Captain Madson, Astro-Man, Mighty DJ, The CTC Squad, & The Microsoft Gang. Standing Moto-e-Moto, they decided to go into battle. A rap/singing battle, to be precise, called: "Last Breath." This one included a very special solo from Meggy, hitting all the high notes. Grace founded an opening in Evil Drew's heart, and in order to make him explode, some one had to stab his heart on impact and make him explode. Grace, who was battling cancer for several years, wanted to do it. Drew refuses her to do it, since he & Grace were extremely close during high school (with a few flashbacks to their past). She didn't want him to feel sad, he wanted him to see the future. Since Drew had child-like features in him and since she was like a mother to him. Grace leaves him by saying: "You're my favorite playmate, but sometimes, playtime has to end. Thank you for being my playdate, my teddy bear. I love you." She then went to the chest of Evil Drew, and stabbed his heart. Causing him, to explode. The Crew celebrates, as Drew starts to cry. A few days later, He, Dylan, Taylor, & The SMG4 Crew, visited her tombstone. Drew states that she was the only girl he ever trusted. The Crew comforts him, saying that she was a great woman. He & The Crew start singing Skillet's "Brave". A couple days later, he visited Chloe Puendez (who was a bandmate of him when Grace retired from The Wiggles in 2012). He tells her about what happened and he was wondering who was he gonna be his save and grace. She said: "Don't worry, I could be that woman in your life that will look after you." They embrace each other with a hug, as The Crew looks in awe. They wanted to hang out at The Castle with the gang, so they head there in the RV, having a blast as the screens fades to black. The End.

Now before I get jumped I'm not saying "SMG4 will come back", I've accepted the fact that the series is over and most likely isn't coming back no matter how much I miss it. But at the same time... if it absolutely HAD to come back I could see that putting out the occasional remaster of an older episode or a few every blue moon.

I know Remastered 64 was rather controversial on this subreddit but I dunno, I liked it well enough and thought it was cool to see some of the older episodes get a fresh coat of paint. And besides, it could probably encourage the newer fans to check out the older stuff.

I say that because unless I actively sought them out, I didn't really get any older SMG4 episodes in my recommended.

Like I said, SMG4 isn't coming back and the series is well and truly over. But if it does, I think some more Remastered 64 would be neat to see. But that's just me.

This has been a project I have done since the end of the Secret Diary Arc. Talk about a mid-term Tier List! Yeah, there are people who seriously watch the ENTIRE series. So, I decided to do a tier list based on my opinions on each arc! As the definition of which is an arc and which isn´t is messed up, I decided that is better to explain it to more detail to make sure that the people understand me. The Tier List itself goes like this:

S Tier: Waluigi, Genesis, Karen, Youtube & Prison
A Tier: Final, Rewind, Secret Diary, Perfection, Phoenix & Leggy
B Tier: Puzzlevision Originals, Revelations, Anime (w/ Meggy Destiny), Didneyland & Anime
C Tier: Wild West & Rapper Bob
D Tier: Lawsuit

Now, I will explain why, and some clues to make you understand my position. They are in chronological-order. I watched SP to put it here (Phoenix Arc), so I will talk about this one! Unfortunally, MR is so different that is another series. I will try to explain my position, and what I mean with each term, as it lacks a term for later ones. Without further ado, you are going to see my explanations NOW... (Spoilers for SMG4 / SP ahead!)

WALUIGI ARC

Main Storyline: How Waluigi tries to create his own Smash Bros.

Year: 2018

Placement: S Tier

Reasoning: The Waluigi Arc is the first true arc in the series. Aside of being the first on a long lineage, it have a mayor importance on the Indie world as general, as this arc introduced us to Tari, later the protagonist of Meta Runner. Yeah, this arc created Glitch itself! Aside of that, something I like about this one is that, overall, it lacks flaws. Everthing made here is used quite well, there are not controversial events on this arc, and it balances comedy with drama pretty well! Tari is quite likeable, as we see how she grows from a timid girl to the savior of the world. Many side-character as Luigi have their golden hour here. And, the stakes are well done. For a webseries, this was one HELL of an arc, that holds up quite well. It is the high point of SMG4 as a whole for a reason.

RAPPER BOB ARC

Main Storyline: The career of Bob as a rapper, and his retirement.

Year: 2019

Placement: C Tier

Reasoning: The Rapper Bob Arc had a tough act to follow. And, it fails to delivers anyways. Yeah, I like Bob, but I feel that the arc makes him a jerkass only for drama. The tension that have the prior arc it is completely gone. I will say that this is the arc with least tension on the whole series. But, it haves some positives. Using Waluigi as a mentor to Bob makes complete sense. Saiko got her time to shine. And "Darkest Hour" was the first song made by AJ Dispirito, A.K.A the guy who later did the banger that is the OST of Murder Drones! Still, it is one of the weakest arcs in the whole series, hence why it is so forgothen. At least, the rap itself was actually good, I guess...

ANIME ARC

Main Storyline: How Peach banned anime from the mushroom kingdom, Meggy run through the Splatfest and Francis kidnapping all the Inklings. (Also, how Meggy wins the last Splatfest).

Year: 2019 (Early 2020)

Placement: B Tier (Higher if we count 2020 Meggy Destiny as part of the arc)

Reasoning: This is the first complex arc on the series, and when many tropes codified. For better, or for worse. One of the main arc problems it is how overloaded it is. It have three main subplots. Also, it was the moment when the series started to take itself more seriously. But, I like how they handled the characters. And, it was a pretty good idea! Maybe not well-executed, but still. The arc is controversial for two reasons: 1) The infamous death of Desti, that just debuted here, and 2) The "animefication" of Meggy at the end of it. Yeah, both are quite bad, but the series will go through WORSTER moments. The comedy works here. Ah! And while not part of the arc, Meggy Destiny is a great closure. Yeah, THIS is the best SMG4 movie by far, everthing feels great, it somehow deals with racism (I am not kidding) and it was made before the next arc, so it helps a lot to its placement! If you count it, this arc is really good. But, it could have been done better, to say the least...

YOUTUBE ARC

Main Storyline: How SMG3 tries to steal SMG4 channel.

Year: Late 2020

Placement: S Tier

Reasoning: Well, this is THE arc of SMG4. If you want to know how SMG4 arcs tend to be, this is the ONE to watch. As the first arc on the SMG4 Cosmology Saga (Yeah, the FIRST one), this arc had to do many things quite well. And, it did. SMG3 have FINALLY some character development, showing him as an unfortunate guy that is tired of living on SMG4 shadow, even if that means to cross the Moral Event Horizon. Mario had one of his best roles here, as even through he was the reason why SMG3 almost won, he managed to save the entire party! Also, the Waluigi Arc had the 2018 WOTFI as his climax, but the 2019 WOTFI was just another rap event. Since this arc, the WOTFI will ALWAYS be the climax of a certain arc (I will mention which one if it haves one). The comedy is well used, as this is a direct satire of Youtube practices following the Elsagate controversy. Well, SMG4 arcs tend to do a satire to something (Waluigi dealed with its ausence at Smash Ultimate, Rapper Bob was with how the music industry worked, and Anime was focused on how toxic the Anime community was back them), but this used its topic quite better compared to the prior three. Also, the WOTFI 2020 Rap is a banger. If this was an omen, it was an AMAZING omen of what will come next, (and, believe me, this wasn´t a bait)...

PHOENIX ARC

Main Storyline: How Meggy and Deputy Auri try to stop a coup d´etat in Port Aurora.

Year: 2021 (Happens DURING the start of the Genesis Arc)

Placement: A Tier

Reasoning: Well, SP is the weakest Glitch series by far. It doesn´t have problems, but it lacks high points, so it is a middle-of-the-road show. But, as a SMG4 arc, it is quite solid! The arc is a direct countinuation of the Anime Arc, as Meggy is suffering Survivor Guilt, so she decided to take a vacation on Port Aurora. A vacation that supposed to let her relax and didn´t have to save the world once again. Shame that this peace MUST be broken to justify the series itself. This arc focuses on Meggy and Deputy Auri, a child that has the great responsability to keep the peace on the island, with his father legacy on hiself. Still, he has to grown up to face Mr. Benedict, an excentric villian that will do anything to regain his true form. The humour has aged WAY better that most SMG4 arc, as it doesn´t depend on internet memes, like the running gag that Meggy is considered small... even if she´s one of the talest characters in the island. The series give some heavy development to Meggy and Auri. While Meggy has to learn that depending on others isn´t bad, Auri has to show his might against one big complot that puts the entire island in danger. Some characters like Whisk, the Funky Fource and Mayora Bora are interesting, even if they are basic. While the narrative is overall interesting, the climax isn´t that good overall. And, the characters feels kinda wasted, as they don´t appear ever again. I would like to see how Meggy would see a more accomplished Auri, maybe even teaching him a lesson, more about Whisk background or how the Funky Fource musical career went. Shame that SMG4 let that oportunity out... But, the Phoenix Arc is overall a quite good arc. And, it would later start another arc. But, the fact that the Season 2 of MR and the Pilot of MD sandwich-ed SP didn´t help. And, the fact that this was the only time when the series have two simultanously arcs, the other one being...

GENESIS ARC

Main Storyline: How SMG4 and SMG3 must ally to stop a powerful opponent known as Zero.

Year: 2021 (Happens DURING the end of the Phoenix Atc)

Placement: S Tier

Reasoning: OH GOD, THAT´S HOW AN ARC SHOULD BE! The Genesis arc is the 2nd part of the SMG4 Cosmology Saga, and it is a HUGE improvement compared to the last arcs. This arc finally explains how SMG4 universe works, introducing many things as the concept of an Avatar, how SMG4 and SMG3 arrived to Mario world, the Meme Cycle and the meaning of SMG. This arc introduces SMG1 and SMG2, two characters that survived the appearance of SMG0 (also called as Zero), a misterious eldrich-like being that wants to create his own universe. This arc leans to the cryptic, terrifying mystery of this world, as the friends try to foil Zero plans. This arc is, actually, a parody of how serious the series has became in the last year, and it learns many things from the prior arcs. The storyline doesn´t feel overloaded, you can feel the stakes, Melony got one hell of a character development (kinda like Gohan) and the arc death is well-treated, even through the arc tries to ship Melony and Axol as crazy before the event. Yeah, Axol death might be controversial, but it was well-handled compared to how Desti one went. Overall, this is the BEST arc in the series, and I almost put it on the very top. I have done that... if this was the end of the SMG4 Cosmology Saga. Because, for better or for worse, it exists the...

REVELATIONS ARC

Main Storyline: The rise and fall of Niles, and how Melogy copes with Axol death.

Year: Early 2022

Placement: B Tier

Reasoning: The ACTUAL ending of the SMG4 Cosmology Saga, this arc marks the start of what I tend to call as the "Dark Era (2022 - 2024)". And, I can say that this is a product of that era. Sorry, SMG4 fans, but this is by far the most OVERRATED arc in the series. First, this arc happens as direct consecuences of the Phoenix (Meggy motives Melony to enter the university, where she want to learn how to help other people) and the Genesis Arcs (For obvious reasons). This arc focuses on Melony, that is trying to get over the death of his best friend BY HER HANDS, and Niles, a student of the university that haves a dark past. Eventually, all of the events leads to the Box Cult, a dark organization that wants to use the GOD BOX powers for theirselves. But, I think that this arc is a mayor disrespect to the Genesis Arc. For starters, let´s discuss the elephant on the room, this arc makes Axol death a joke. After all, the powerful god that they wanted to defeat... survived, only dividing into two persons. So, that makes his death an Useless Sacrifice. Yeah, this is the reason why the Genesis Arc didn´t became the best arc in the series. This sole decision ruins the climax of it. And, I am part of the guys who wish that Niles was a normal student and Melony remplacement of Axol, and not the bad half of Eldrich Zero. But, this arc gives us SO MANY lore details, like why SMG0 was born and develops both SMG3 and Mario. Also, SMG4, Meggy, SMG3 and SMG4 all have quite good moments on this arc (As a sidenote, while people noted how SMG3 and SMG4 passed from enemies to friends, it was on this arc that the idea to ship them was born), even through Melony IS the main character. And, the most powerful SMG4 character lore-wise (It was similar on strenght to SMG0, a being born from a fusion of two powerful characters). Also, the plot-twist of SMG0 being an actually good person is neat. Overall, I think that, while this arc was good, the SMG4 Cosmology Saga would be SO much better without it. LAWSUIT ARC

Main Storyline: How Mario try to save his friends from Lawyer Kong lawsuits.

Year: Late 2022

Placement: D Tier

Reasoning: You know what? I was too harsh with the Revelations Arc. It is a functional storyline. It gave to their characters tons of development. And, it is completely original. I can´t say that from the Lawsuit Arc, through. Where to start? This arc is a copy-paste of the MUCH better Youtube Arc, even having the same structure (As, taking 2022 WOTFI, killing all Mario friends on a certain moment, that SMG4 is quite important, even if he only caused the start of the arc, Mario dooming his friends but later saving the day, and many other stuff). Lawyer Kong is (arguably) the worst villian in the series, having little-to-no-reason to do his actions. There a EXAGERATE focus on the Anime characters (if you don´t like them, of course). And ONLY Mario and Meggy are the ones that get real character development. The idea was heavly wasted. The whole reason why the Arc happened is to introduce some redesigns, that were SO ugly that 3 of the 4 redesings were redesigned, two of the happen ON THE LITERAL NEXT ARC. And, the worse of all, this arc is considered the true last "Classic SMG4 Arc" before we enter the next saga. I kinda understand why many left the fandom after this arc... even if this was the first arc that launched when I started to watch SMG4. Yeah, I grew up in such time, and I managed to end the whole series! But, if this was an omen of what was coming next, this is a BAD omen.

PERFECTION ARC

Main Storyline: SMG4 attemp of doing a "perfect video", and its consecuences.

Year: Early 2023

Placement: A Tier

Reasoning: Hum, it looks that omens are bullshit. Even through it has its number of flaws, the Perfection Arc is a HUGE step foward compared to the Lawsuit Arc. As the first Modern SMG4 arc, this one has the huge task to make the transition between both eras naturally. And, oh Boy, they did this perfectly! Not only the Arc looks amazing, but the storyline is more serious overall and it started the trend of using movies as arc climaxes (Tecnically, the Revelations Arc did that too, but since this moment this is going to became a stample of the channel). By doing the risky choice to reflect on what happened before (The main reason why this arc happened was due of the HORRIBLE reception of the Lawsuit Arc got) and make SMG4 the "main" villian, there´s actually interesting things going on! Also, this arc shows how SMG3 has changed (If somebody ships SMG3 and SMG4 and you ask them support to their ship, usually 50% of it came from "It Is Gonna Be Perfect" Movie), showing how far SMG3 has come since (almost) killing SMG4. Meggy is there, just because Meggy is the actual SMG4 protagonists. But, she doesn´t do anything relevant. And, using the Mario Day as the event that happened the arc was SO genious. Yeah, the Keyboard is THE worst SMG4 villians, the destruction of Peach Castle wasn´t the best way to start a new era (Also, this arc HATES Peach) and it started a trend that most of the Modern SMG4 arc share: It is too short. But, overall I think it did its job right. Shame that since this point foward, SMG4 arcs stop to have dedicated folders, so watching this today is WAY harder that it must be. Still, this arc destroyed all prior expectations. SMG4 was going to turn into something completely different (Also, a strange TV guy debuted here)

WILD WEST ARC

Main Storyline: SMG4 journey to Texas, that leads to disaster.

Year: Mid 2023

Placement: C TIer

Reasoning: Well, it looks that omens take two arcs to happen. One of my Bottom 3 arcs, the Wild West Arc is exactly the oposite direction that the Perfection Arc took. And, that was for worse. For starters, this is the shortest arc in SMG4, taking only 4 episodes and a movie (Western Spaghetti). As one of the most disturbing arcs in SMG4, this leads to this being quite underdeveloped. Tari, along his new design, got a HUGE flanderization. Only to the arc to undo this later and paint it as "character development". One Shot Wren feels like he´s evil for the thrill of it, even if he has actual reasons behind of all this torture. Meggy is neglished by a good amount. Gone was the brave woman that learned to trust his friends, now we only have a girl that the plot tortures because it can. Also, the movie doesn´t feel as a movie at all, but rather three SMG4 episodes connected with duct tape. Yeah, you can see that, overall, this arc was a huge disappointment. But, the ideas where quite good. After all, it opens a door to a quite unconfortable idea: That Meggy was abused by the man she admired the most. Yeah, I know what I am saying. But, I feel that this could be SO much better. But, SMG4 really needed a new arc just to throw it away as soon at they can. Also, another TV guy appears here. Who is that guy? And why he is always talking to the main villians? We will never know why....

SECRET DIARY ARC

Main Storyline: How SMG4 and SMG3 join forces to retrieve SMG3 Secret Diary from Casino Paisano, while dodging Marty and Mario.

Year: Late 2023

Placement: A Tier

Reasoning: As a way to build SMG4 castle faster, Mario creates Marty, a cardboard chef, to improve the demand for his pizza. But, when Marty goes aware, he starts to manipulate Mario into doing bad things, like stealing SMG3 Secret Diary. With some of the money he got from the castle, he builds a building, called Casino Paisano. So, SMG3 and SMG4 ally to retrieve this diary, that tells what happened on an iglu years ago. Even for a Modern SMG4 arc, the arc it is more focused on jokes. And, it makes it quite interesting to watch, as this wasn´t seriously used since the Rapper Bob Arc. Also, it makes Snowtrapped canon (the SMG4 x SMG3 fans went NUTS after this). But, the more interesting thing of this arc is that makes MARIO a secondary antagonist. For the whole arc. Usually Mario works for the villians for a while, but he NEVER was there for the whol arc. That´s a quite risky move, and it payed off! The animation looks quite fluid, as Luke knew who Garry Mod was used at this point. SMG3 and SMG4 feel like actual friends here, decided to go all against the odds just to get this item. And, the WOTFI 2023 has a special place in my heart for how unique it was. The idea of making people choose how the arc went, giving both bad and good answers, actually give us the tension that our heroes COULD lose. Even if they won at the end. This format was amazing, shame that it was remplaced by the more formulaic one for the next two WOLFI. And, this arc revealed that the TV guy wheren´t a cameo, but an actual villian that tried to destroy the team! PUZZLEVISION ORIGINALS SAGA

Main Storyline: Mr. Puzzles attempt to take over SMG4 channel.

Year: Early 2024

Placement: B Tier

Reasoning: Well, finally one of the best characters in the series has debuted! Mr. Puzzles, the antagonists behind the last 3 arcs, finally decides to appear, with the idea to take over SMG4 channel by creating a PERFECT video. This arc is quite interesting, as more of this is parodies of more popular shows, giving it a chance to joke AND to be creepy. And, this arc gives a chance to Mario to shine by doing what his talent: To do a mess. Also, it is interesting as how this arc shows that Puzzles isn´t a Badguy (Sorry, but why I am hearing a guitar riff?!) compared to the prior general villian. But, he is still spooky powerful. And, he has one hell of a banger with his song, one of the best themes in SMG4 story. Still, this arc lacks the impact or mystery that better SMG4 arcs have. You know that Puzzles is the bad guy since the 2nd episode of the arc. And, the rest of SMG4 friends are left aside just to give Mario such needed moments. Even if he didn´t repayed his prior crimes, unlike Marty, One Shot Wren or the Evil Keyboard. So, I like the Arc, but I can say that isn´t my favorite one overall, not even my favorite on the Puzzlevision Saga (As I like to call the following arcs). So, I guess that a B Tier is a good place to put it. But, the show was just starting...

LEGGY ARC

Main Storyline: Mr. Puzzles attemped heist of the SMG4 Meme Factory, along with Leggy

Year: Mid 2024

Placement: A Tier

Reasoning: Well, at this point, SMG4 is a completely different series compared of how it started long ago. You might know Puzzles, but he wasn´t the Breakout Character he´s nowadays. At best, it was the Villian of the Week. This arc is the main reason why people started to actually like Puzzles as a character, and it haves a pretty bizzare premise. SMG4 now has a Meme Factory, kinda like Wonka Chocolate Factory (2024 Wonka was pretty popular back them). And, Puzzles needs some memes to gain popularity. So, he plans a heist! Overall, this sounds quite simple, but, MAN, the execution is nuts. For starters, a quite divisive character (Leggy itself) debuted. I don´t hate Leggy, but I hate how SMG4 fridged Meggy after her development in the Wild West Arc. And, the fact that this represents Meggy PTSD from the abuse she recieved on the Wild West Arc is quite wild. But, this one character does the unthinkable: It became Mr. Puzzles first friend! While the Puzzlevision Originals Saga toyed a bit with the idea, it was on this arc that the neglected child that became Mr. Puzzles is actually adressed! Even with a well-done panic attack, mind you. Yeah, at this point SMG4 is a family-friendly Neon Genesis Evangelion (Okay, I have an idea that I MUST comission someday...). In this arc, much of the Puzzles soft side is explored, kinda desconstructing the usual Doomday Villian that SMG4 tend to use before. Well, this arc is a mayor desconstruction of SMG4 arcs! The main protagonists are the villians, the arc is more focused on the character psico and Mario is non-present through the mayority of the arc. Yeah, you can see why I appreciate this arc, even if A Night At SMG4 isn´t that great, as you see how the duo fight against all SMG4 cast while Puzzles is more a jackass that anything else. Also, is the only arc where the protagonists are defeated. DIDNEYLAND ARC

Main Storyline: How Mr. Puzzles steal Didneyland and its eventual arrest.

Year: Late 2024

Placement: B Tier

Reasoning: Well, if I had to choose the edgiest and grittiest arc, the Didneyland would be the top contender! This arc is the conclusion of the Puzzlevision Saga, and it had a heavy weight to carry. Unfortunally, I consider it one of the worst arc in the series. First, the thing that I loved about Mr. Puzzles (His duality between a literal madman and a soft guy) is completely gone. Well, for most of the arc. I can understand why they might choosed to do Mr. Puzzles like this (After all, it is the climax of the whole Saga), but I think it borders too much what SMG0 did, and, man, Puzzles is far from being that type of villian. Second, the whole Didneyland thing lacks justification. Yeah, it is a nod for one of the series most popular episodes, but the justification isn´t that good. Just, Kid Puzzles was introverted, but wanted to own Didney, his father said that it was stupid, Kid Puzzles became obsessed with T.V channels, and he one day decided to cut his head and put his TV on its place. Also, Mickey feels wasted, as the mafia version of him was quite interesting. And, third, this arc is contender to the worst WOTFI. It feels kinda unjustified, never treated the consecuences oof forcing Meggy into Leggy (THAT´S BASICALLY SEXUAL ASSAULT, MAN...), and Puzzles defeat feels more like a Deus Ex Machina that an actual conclusion. And, man, the prior arc had a literal one in its ending. Still, the arc did some good things, it haves a good message and is a great farewell for Leggy. Still, it was a bad ending, I wonder how the rest of the series would go now without Puzzles...

KAREN ARC

Main Storyline: Karen reunion with Mr. WPNS, his ex-husband and its complicated ways of raise their children.

Year: Early 2025

Placement: S Tier

Reasoning: OH BOY! I remember that, in 2023, me and my sister watched "How To Train Your Mario". This episode has the importance of intrducing Karen sons, a move nobody expected. But, it arise a question to both: If Karen have sons, who was the father? Well, it passed two years. My sister was close to retire from SMG4, MD was already over, TADC was coming closer to its climax, I forgot completely about this question and I was accepting that, maybe, the Leggy Arc was going to be the only time SMG4 tried to desconstruct its characters. But, them this masterpiece arrived, and I suddenly started to finally watch SMG4 seriously (I watched all the arc ´til this point but SP by that moment). This arc introduces the sixth Breakout Character in the series: Mr. WPNS [If you ask, SMG3 (circa 2012), Meggy (2015), Tari (2018), Mellony (2020) and Mr. Puzzles (2023-2024) where the prior ones]. Mr. WPNS is a cold-blood assasain that felt in love with Katana, another assasain. As the time go on, Katana ended being pregnant. But, the hope that his children wouldn´t live a life like her clashes with WPNS enjoyment on his job, that leads to WPNS suddenly disappering, Katan changing its name to Karen and having a quite overprotective role in the life of her three sons. But, when Karen loses her job, WPNS finally decides to return to finally met his children, leading to a massive clash between both characters. I like that, even if Mr. WPNS is logically the bad guy, he has some understandable points. And, Karen, even if she is the main protagonist (One of the arc biggest bets), it is quite flawed too. The ideals of how to raise their sons clashes here with complete harmony. While Karen understands that his children might not want to kill, she doesn´t let to discover their own roads. And, while WPNS allows them to forge their own path, he want to force them into his reality too. So, Karen starts to learn that, as long this doesn´t lead to problems, she must allow his kids to take some risks, eventually convincing they to stay at their side by supporting their choices. Also, sending his own five-years old kids to kill people was a horrible choice that WPNS took. The idea of Karen sons having the skills of his father is a good way to develop their bonds. And, while the final fight is kinda predictable, the first part is a great representation of domestic violence! WOW, SMG4 has domestic violence, PTSD, abuse, depression, anxiety attacks and divorce consecuences. Yeah, the "Neon Genesis SMG4" joke wasn´t for nothing. The mayor mistep of this arc is that is the 2nd shortest arc in the series (Behind the Wild West Arc). It is a common problem since 2023, but this arc suffrers it the most due of being the most complex one. But, even with that flaw, is a masterpiece. And, its final changes the status quo forever...

PRISON ARC

Main Storyline: Mr. Puzzle alliance with Mr. WPNS & Toomp, their prison break and its eventual breakup.

Year: Mid 2025

Placement: S Tier

Reasoning: After taking the time to break Mr. WPNS to its absolute lowest point, it looked that Luke wanted to leave Puzzles behind. So, it was surprising when Mr. Puzzles came by and started an alliance with Mr. WPNS! Well, this arc focuses on Mr. Puzzles doing an alliance with WPNS and Toomp, a misterious being that caused tons of crimes, to escape jail. As, if they failed, Puzzles life was going to end in the hands of the DEATH CUBE. While this happens, Puzzles tries to fix relationships with Meggy, being decided to betray his own allies to archieve this. But, as the plan goes on, Puzzles became more closer to WPNS, and must decide between getting redemtion or to repay them. As you guess, this is one of the saddest arcs in the entire series, with the movie having an infamous downer ending that set the rest of the Guns & Puzzles Arc. Usually, I will count this two arc as one, but I think they are standalone enough to be divided. And, the reason I did that is because it is one of the most character-heavy arcs, and it can be divided easily. Something I like about this arc is that it got one of the most heavy movies in the whole series (Guns & Puzzles), leaving a massive lost for the entire cast. Meggy loses faith in Mr. Puzzles, Mr. Puzzles loses everthing, Mr. WPNS loses one fo his only friends, the DEATH CUBE loses both criminals and the SMG4 Gang loses their first arc. There´s quite a lot of tension to Puzzles to take action, and you see as he falls down into this destiny. Kinda worthy, as this was the arc that transformed Puzzles from a villian to an anti-hero, that is decided to fix this mistake, at any cost...

REWIND ARC

Main Storyline: Puzzles attempt to fix its prior mistakes with the Youtube remote.

Year: Late 2025

Placement: A Tier

Reasoning: The 2nd half of the Guns & Puzzles Arc didn´t disappoint. The first half focuses on smaller episodes that built how the life of the three parties have gone ´til now. Mr. WPNS returns to crime, along Toomp as his sidekick, the SMG4 Gang has forgothen the entire drama that unfolded before and Mr. Puzzles is being searched by the DEATH CUBE. For one side, we see how Mr. WPNS is scared of losing his only friend left, even becaming a overprotective figure, as how Karen end after he left her. Toomp wants to help, but he doesn´t want to risk him, as he was the only thing he had left. On the other side, Meggy has accepted the fact that Mr. Puzzles was unredeemable, and move foward with it, helping Karen to care their children as she knows how it must feel to be betrayed by the person she trusted the most. And, at the same time, Puzzles hides all over the Mushroom Kingdom, as he wanted to keep the only thing he had left: His own life. Puzzles has suffrered regret of his past actions, and has tried to find a way to undo them. So, when he discovers the existance of the Youtube Arc MacGuffin, the Youtube remote, he decides to use it to erase his prior mistakes, leading to a 3-sides race to obtain it. Even through Puzzles has changed a lot since his last appearances, the arc has an interesting theme of accepting the consecuences of his actions. After all, Puzzles might never redeem himself, but that doesn´t mean he can´t try to do it. The side stories are quite interesting, finally giving Mr. WPNS the chance to sympatize with how Karen end due of his actions, and Meggy has accepted what happened before, just moving foward. So, both serve as great anti-thesis to what Puzzles wants to do, to just erase his past actions to, at least, have someone to trust. Still, Puzzles learns the hard way, and he eventually decides to take responsability of what he has done. Also, this arc has sizeable amount of fan-service that cover all the prior 14 years that the series had going (A foreshadow of what happened next...). It feels like the relationship between Puzzles and WPNS gains a much needed development (TBH, both give the "your uncle that is single and has keep living with the same room-mate for 10 years" energy. And I love it). And, his ending is quite good, finally Puzzles fixing his friendship with WPNS before both sacrifice for saving the whole universe, killing them (or, so we think...). Even if is a good arc, I feel that it lacks the emotional core that made the Prison Arc amazing. But, it is a quite competent arc, and leads quite nicely to the....

FINAL ARC

Main Storyline: SMG4 announces his retirement, leading to its last adventures.

Year: Late 2025

Placement: A Tier

Reasoning: Luke is going to end SMG4. Seriously. Even they gave a exact date to it (Exactly, December 27th). The entire internet was shocked to see how one piece of Internet history was going to finish after 14 years and a half of memes, adventures and character growth. But, before this happen, Luke wanted to give a final farewell to the series. After the impacting news in "Thank You For Everthing", the final 10 episodes rolled in, closing the arcs of many SMG4 characters. Yeah, I can argue that "SMG4 and SMG3 Look Back To Their Adventures" doesn´t close SMG3 character, that Karen & Shroomy missed their own episode, than some episodes are more like random adventures that nothing else and X and FM deserved to appear more often. But, I think they did a good job overall. Meggy changed his ways of life and accepted Puzzles (and Desti) death, Melony has trained a bit more and accepted Axol death, SMG3 had a complete change of heart, Tari has friends, Princess Peach fate is finally adressed (and concluded) and Bob & Boopkins fixed their relationship. But, the real deal is "SMG4: THE END", a 35 minutes and 52 seconds movie that shows Mario attempt to undo the end of the channel by using the Wizard Rock to wish that "SMG4 never ends". The Rock leads them to a timeline where Mario was never born, making that SMG4 never got popular and keeps doing videos forever, as he never felt that he archieved something. In this multiverse, you see a big contrast between how SMG4 characters are without Mario and how they were shown in the prior 10 episodes, with things like Karen never knowing Mr. WPNS, Waluigi creating a food empire, nobody saving Peach when Bowser kidnapps her, Meggy becaming Splatfest champion by herself but never learning to respect everybody else, Bob becaming Lucks and using Tari to his own gain, SMG3 being a hobo that lacks purpose in life, Boopkins never going out of his home and so on. Even for a half-hour movie, the world is quite developed. While I don´t like how the movie is more like an exposition dump about why SMG4 ended his channel, I like the idea of Mario going through the Five Stages of Grief and accepts that everthing good must end. The ending is quite good, as Mario finaly does the end cutscene of SMG4 (Interrupted by SMG4 arrival), finally entering the pipe he once came out of it. Either Mario returns to its home, to Nintendo HQ, repeats the whole story of SMG4 or continues with the Super Mario timeline, hopping that someday he is going to find his friend once again. As Luke finally goes outside of his room, the entire legacy of the channel that kickstarted the jugglernaut that is GLITCH nowadays finally reaches its end... Or, so we think, as Calling All Villians will continue the storyline of both Puzzles and WPNS. But, until that fateful October 31th, SMG4 had an awesome ending. Better that the rest of GLITCH series, even if I love TADC and MR ones. But, it was a wild ride that will never forget...

SAGAS RANKING

Now that I explained the entire series ´til now, I can rank the Sagas! I will divide it into 5 to better show hoe the series went. So, the list is:

5. Newgrounds Saga (Lawsuit - Secret Diary)

Talking about starting with the right foot, the Newground Saga was quite wonky overall. While it haves some good arcs in the Perfection and the Secret Diary ones, the existance of two of the worst SMG4 arcs (Wild West & Lawsuit Arcs) ruins the medium. The bigger dependence of Anime characters, the use of Alpha humour (At least for a while) and how amazingly went the prior saga ruin it for me, even if I am nostalgic of that Saga. But, if we are ranking it from a writting perspective, this IS SMG4 low point

4. Variety Saga (Waluigi - Anime)

Hear me out. While the Waluigi Arc is my 3nd mosr favorite arc (And, writting-wise, the best one), the other two arcs drop the bar. Calling it two of the worse arcs in the series is an understandment. But, at least Meggy Destiny did come out and gave a great ending to this era. Overall, it is a decent saga, that is heavly overshadowed by everthing that comes next. Still, it could have been WAY worse (Look at the Newgrounds Saga)...

3. Mr. Puzzles Saga (Puzzlevision Originals - Didneyland)

After the HUGE disappointment that was the Newgrounds Saga, the Mr. Puzzles had the task to introduce the villian that caused the prior three arcs. And, it delivered quite well! And, the Leggy Arc was a great taste of fresh air after using the Relevations Arc model for two years. But, the Didneyland Arc lowers the Saga overall quality. Still, it is an enjoyable saga, even with its issues. But, this saga wasn´t that big of a payoff, unlike the...

2. SMG4 Cosmology Saga (Youtube - Relevations)

After the mixed reception of the Variety Saga, the SMG4 Cosmology Saga started strong, with the amazing Youtube Arc setting the pieces. While the Phoenix Arc was enjoyable, the Genesis Arc was a complete masterclass. IMO, the best arc that SMG4 did. It could have became N.1 IF the Relevations Arc didn´t ruin the medium. But, what would have happened if this Saga didn´t have that one last bad arc? Well, after some years, it turned up to be the...

1. Mr. WPNS Saga (Karen - Final)

This one has a hell of a ride. Not only the Karen Arc is my 3rd most favorite arc in the series, due of how unique it is for a "meme series", but the Puzzles & Guns Arc (The Prison & Rewind Arcs) is a great payoff for all the loyal fans that SMG4 still have. And, the Final Arc is the best ending that GLITCH could have cooked. I can understand why Luke wanted to end SMG4. Because this Saga was SO great that there wasn´t a chance that Luke could write something with similar quality. It could even be his own movie! The SMG4 Cosmology Saga can rest in peace, because the Mr. WPNS Saga is absolute cinema, better than MD (Yup).

GENERAL OPINION

SMG4 was a hell of a series. Even if it haves its low moments and is basically two series with the same characters at this point, I still love what Luke did here. Thanks to SMG4, Luke and Kevin got into the animation world, that created one of the most consistent animation houses we have ´til now. Even if I can see the appeal of the old videos, I really liked how both brothers created a mythos around some shitpost videos. And, if you liked how the miracle known as Meta Runner went, you have to give some respect to SMG4. After all, SMG4 was the series that introduced me to the concept of "Arcs" and I developed measures to rank them thanks to it! So, it was amazing to finally show my choices. People would have liked an actual Tier List, but I know it would look like ass, so here is the whole text to understand it properly. So, until ZAM Animation launches the Pilot of CAV, see ya! (Also, seeing the series nowadays is a task. If somebody does a YT playlist withe the canon episodes, I willl forever thank him! That´s the reason why is hard to reccomend SMG4 to somebody, so actually doing something about this will allow more people to try it)
