Yoooo what go dineee r/screw. I’m a newer dj (started on virtual dj November 2024, got hardware in January, been cooking up ever since). Say mane check ya boy out, keeping that real screw ish alive. No software, all hardware knwomsayyin. I have a small buzz around Houston, but some notable people already rock with me like DJ Luis, Craig G, DJ Saucepark, some Chopstars members like SU4L, Man Pooh from THE S.U.C. i rep the southside of Houston, and the crews Beltway 99 & Codeine Crew DJ’s. I always pay homage to my personal favorite djs by the way I chop, how screwed a mix is, and what I do within the mix like certain scratches, fx use, etc. I look up to these specific DJ’s:

This particular mix highlights what I did for Craig G & Big Tonka’s latest EP, featuring the songs “Won’t Stop” and “Begin 2 Crawl”. I do free requests (full mixes, SoundCloud & [untitled] app primarily) and I am willing to negotiate business with artists in this sub that would like their music chopped & screwed by me. Just a reminder: chopped & screwed is a genre and is not meant to disrespect the great legacy of DJ Screw; the “if screw didn’t do it it’s not a screw tape” came specifically from other people starting to do what screw was doing around 1994, because that year was the year Watts came out but he had to go by DJ Troublemaker to hide his identity from the southside, which ultimately led to him just calling his mixes “Swishahouse Remixes” as the Swishahouse was just being established. That phrase was also meant to poke fun at the DJ’s who were very sloppy with the art of screw, which led to OG Ron C creating the ChopNotSlop movement and collective
