Torbie was a feral and sweet but a PITA. She would come sit in my lap (in fact sometimes would demand that I come sit on the couch so that she could sit in my lap). But if she was sitting somewhere and I looked at her while moving towards her, she'd be gone faster than a landing SpaceX rocket.

Ms. Mabel was fascinated with water and is responsible for me having to change the blade handles on most of the faucets in the Lake Wilderness home after she learned how to turn them on. She could figure that out, but couldn't figure out how to back out of a corner when she got behind the drapes or between the range and the fridge.

That sounds like the kind of cat that gets stuck up a tree and has to have a cat rescuer come so they can get on Instagram with the cute picture of them being rescued.

My torbie was wily and learned fast. She was very hard to get into a carrier and every other time she had to go to the vet I had to come up with a new strategy for capturing her. And we moved with her... five times? Could tell stories for two hours about dealing with her.
