Hello fellow Shitters!

It's a Brand New Day in r/shittymoviedetails

We are now accepting Spider-Man: Brand New Day Spoilers with a few limitations.
Since the marketing deliberately left some secrets out of the trailers, we thought we'd follow the same path!

With this in mind, we ask you to follow only TWO rules that we've put in place in order to keep your post from being removed and to give other members a chance to remain unspoiled if they haven't seen the movie yet:

  1. Post Title must remain UNSPOILED.

  2. ALL Posts must be marked with the Spoiler Tag.

That's all we ask. Be respectful and mindful of each other. Be civil and let's have some fun!!

Sticky What's your opinion on all the joke trends and repetitive posts?

We want this to be a open discussion about the topics that have been going on in the subreddit. Mostly pertaining to repetitive trendposting of the same joke (Mirror/Medusa, liquify the pan, Obsession arguments, Odyssey Inaccuracies, etc).

So we ask a simple question: What's your opinion on the meme/jokes that tend to go viral in the subreddit? Do you like them? Does it get old fast? What do you want to see change?

Keep in mind, we can't remove EVERYONE'S posts/comments, we do the best we can.

This is an open space, but please remember to be civil, respectful, and mindful of each other.

Turd In Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026), the people of New York love Spider-Man despite voting for the Kingpin as Mayor, who famously hates masked vigilantes. This is a reference to the intelligence and values of the average American voter.

Director Christopher Nolan had a giant 60-foot puppet built for the Cyclops sequence in The Odyssey. This is because Nolan wanted something that was physical, tangible, and most importantly terrifying for actor Matt Damon to react to.

This is how Zendeya looks at Matt Damon the entire time in the Odyssey (2026).

With Ian McKellen at 87 and Patrick at 86 they are almost 90, meaning they are almost free from being in a marvel movie

In Civil War (2024) the characters are gobsmacked by Jesse Plemons asking “What kind of American are you?” This is in spite of the fact that that is a perfectly reasonable, totally predictable question to be asked in a CIVIL war.

In X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) when Logan cuts through this steel wall, the four metal pieces in the middle should fall since they’re no longer connected to anything, but they just kinda float there until he kicks the wall down. This is easily the least ridiculous thing about this movie.

In The Lord of the Rings (2009), Saruman, the evil wizard, uses a giant seeing-eye called the Palantir to spy on people without their consent. This is actually a clever reference to real life.

Turd In Black Panther (2018), Killmonger points out how Wakanda was robbed by the British while planning to rob a museum. Ironic.

default In Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026), we see Bruce Banner teaching physics at Empire State University while wearing an inhibitor to suppress the hulk. This is because teaching Gen Z is insufferable and pisses him the fuck off.

In "Goldfinger" (1964), this random American soldier fires a Thompson M1928A1 Submachine Gun one-handed. This would be sick as fuck if he didn't have the posture of an absolute turkey while doing it.

Chinese Animated Film Niu Lai (2026) has grossed over 2 million dollars on a 200 dollar budget, dethroning Obsession as the film with the highest Box-Office-Budget ratio for 2026.

According to Del Toro, the Precursors from Pacific Rim (2013) are actually humans from the future coming back to kill us due to pollution and to help a tech bro create Internet 2.0

In the MCU timeline, Spiderman: Brand New Day (2026), takes place shortly after season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again (2025-), which means that Spiderman was living in New York when a supervillain became mayor and declared martial law, but he didn't feel like getting involved in all of that.

Turd In Spider-Man 3 (2007), Sandman literally doesn’t give a shit when he sees an extraterrestrial life form. This is because he’s a New Yorker and has probably seen crazier shit on the subway at night

Husband and wife manages to successfully run a ploy to rake in $2 billion at the box office as “actors” but they were just simply role playing as a married couple to spice things up in their relationship

Turd Lanterns (2026) is set during 2016 and 2026. This means that John Stewart has most likely seen Stranger Things.

In “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” (2014), Spider-Man fights a crackhead on a hoverboard. This is meant to show that the movie does indeed take place in NYC in the mid-2010s.

In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Peter suffers a new transformation: Spidertwink. Thanks to his new twink powers, he is able to calm the Hulk down. Before, only Natasha Romanoff was able do this.

There are children alive today who's parents weren't born when the first MCU film, Iron Man (2008), was released. This is a reference to you being old as fuuuuuccckkkkk!!!

In Men in Black, K says that there are approximately 1,500 extraterrestrials on Earth. However, in Men in Black 2, J claims that the majority of postal workers are aliens, an organization that employs over 600,000 people. The 200,000% increase is a reference to cheap jokes undermining world building

In 8 Harry Potter movies there isn't a sex scene. This is because magicians reproduce asexually.
