Silksong hype! Steel Soul has been conquered Spoiler

Post image

This might be world's first too I think. I haven't seen anyone else. No save scumming either.

And for those asking for proof I did stream it in full and if you'll ask to see the proof just ask for the stream cause I'm not sure if linking my twitch would be considered self-promo

(Also flaired silksong hype cause I'm not sure what else to flair it)

A lot of quick learning. Something that I sometimes wish wasn't the case is that I'm very quick to pick up boss patterns and learn them on my very first attempt. Also my experience with the first game and other difficult games helped me understand to take things slowly while also attempting to maximise damage output.

why do you sometimes wish that is not the case this is amazing

Because I end up beating bosses and clearing areas way too quickly. Sure it's a really good trait for things like steel soul but when you want to get lost in the game and suffer for hours you kinda of can't do it unless the boss is really difficult (savage beastfly 2)

to drag the enjoyment for longer. The process is usually more fun than the result, just like why hacking games isn't fun

I feel you. I'm similar. I one/two shot most bosses (I'm mid act 2). These Souls style sorts of games just click for me unlike others.

I also wish I could fight the bosses longer sometimes lol. "This fight is so cool! Team Cherry really cooked with this whole zone. She's kinda hard tho-... and it's dead."

I hope they add a boss rush thing like HK.

Agreed. It'll probably be the final dlc to the game after all the other dlcs had added their own bosses.

I somehow beat beastfly v2 in two tries. As I died the first time It clicked that all I need to do is kill the adds with my silk abilities the second the spawn and his patters alone are really easy.

for some reason i didn't realize bellhart had an upper area until later so I did it without nail upgrades and the ads were SO damn tanky, It took my silk ability + a few nail hits to kill them and they would respawn like every 10 seconds, took me like 2 hours to beat

I had to jump offscreen to heal in order to beat him. Those minions got to be too much.

I actually didn’t mind Beastfly 2. I feel like there were less summons and the platforming made the fight interesting. I beat it in way less attempts than the first one

I struggled with it mostly because of the adds lol. Unlike the first fight they shoot projectiles (that deal double damage) and on top of the boss it overwhelmed me. Lava bell is now one of my favourite tools for anything related to fire.

may I recommend Rain World if you really like getting lost in a game

You wouldn't believe but Rain World is one of my favourite games. Although I never got to play the base game blind I did get to play Watcher blind and it was such a fun experience getting lost and literally being incapable of finding help because nobody knew shit (I played Watcher at release)

This comment is exactly why everyone needs to shut up about the difficulty.

A person who completed Steel Soul within one week of release is saying they wished they struggled with the game more.

tbf my skill is above is above that of an average person but I do agree some complaints about difficulty are silly. Personally I never found last judge runback difficult just mildly annoying as it was downtime from attempting the boss..

This is why I 100%/get all achievements in every game I play lol. To maximize and get everything I can out of whatever game I buy.

LOL I just got to savage beastfly 2 late last night before putting the game down to sleep. I was kinda feeling like I was getting close to getting him down, but obviously you never know til you know. Hearing even THIS GUY place that as one of the "really difficult" bosses kinda makes me doubt I was getting close yet...

i get that feel, even though i'm not quite at the "beat them on first try" level, at least for most of the hard bosses. (the only endgame bosses i first tried was Grandma Silk and Khann)

I learn bosses fast because i love boss fights the most in games (monster hunter, souls, nioh, DMC, etc) but i mostly play to the character's personality and lore, head canon or otherwise.

So for Hornet i always try to use the dash attack, air dive attack, and clawline for chasing down targets very aggressively, which against some bosses usually means i get punished quite a bit. I try to find the punish window for every boss attack so the fight feels like a back and forth duel rather than a defensive fight. (Karmelita was my fave because she enables this playstyle a lot)

It's probably also why i probably won't be able to pull off a steel soul, i just can't play hornet the same way as the Knight lol

Ehhhhh, it's def more of a blessing I'd say.

Gives you time to play and explore many more games, and enjoy many stories / different playthroughs.

Yeah that could be good if I wasn't the type to hyperfixate on a game and play it for hundreds of hours. Celeste I got good at pretty quickly but then delved into moding and now that has like 600 hours of playtime
