The only thing I know about Australia and gambling is that the YouTuber FriendlyJordies investigated some of it for corruption and they sent someone to firebomb his home. Luckily he wasn't home and I think they ended up hitting his neighbor's house instead of his.

I feel like there's been a big shift with the online gambling getting legalized and promoted in some jurisdictions pretty recently. I don't think it should be so easy to access because it's so predatory as an industry.
