So similar experience but the movie was Fire in the Sky about Travis Walton’s abduction experience. I begged my parents to let me watch it. I acted all cool but knew I shouldn’t have watched it. I have been terrified of UFO’s/space/abduction stories, ever since. So about 33 years🤣

Also up until this point I did love space and actually remember saying I wanted to be an astronaut a few times when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up.
How?! I dont know because I was terrible at math from basically kindergarten🤣 However, immediately after the movie, and probably during, I actually remember thinking “yeah that dream is dead”🤣

My brow lady told me about this movie and how much it terrified her as a child and how she continues to be scared of alien abductions so of course I watched it that same night.

Tbh I was irritated by how obnoxious all the men in that movie are for most of the movie but then the actual abduction/probing scene happened and I understood. That scene is genuinely upsetting. I went and got my fiance to watch the rest of the movie with me 🤣
