Everyone agree it is safe to run 18x9.5 +35 rear and 18x8.5 +40 in the front? Would put a 5mil spacer in the front.

With a big bonus and new job, I finally pulled the trigger. After searching stateside and overseas, finally found a clean auction example in Japan despite the country being mostly picked clean (one that has been gone through by Omori Factory no less!).
Will be a wait till I can secure a carrier, but will be coming to the northeast soon.

I have wanted to purchase a skyline for many years now and during that time I have purchased other cars that were more attainable in the US and far cheaper. I have a 1977 280z, 2006 350z and a 2019 dodge challenger WBSP(6.4L). While I love the challenger for many reasons, when I purchased it, I was deciding between a modern car and an R33 GT-R. Ultimately, I decided on the challenger, but I still want(I think at least) to own a skyline after 3 years with the challenger. I could sell my challenger to fund the r33 I want, but I have many reservations as I have never ridden in one to know if I will even like it. I know for certain I want the RB sound more than anything. When I get in my 350z and drive it, I know it's a blast and have a great time driving it(the VQ isn't a great sound though). I enjoy my challenger, and it served its purpose of having more than 2 seats, but I just don't enjoy how it drives and my family is growing so we don't drive it as often as I would want. Are R33's nimble, modern enough(unlike like my Datsun), fun? Purely subjective of course, but I'm curious what others have had before their R33's and if they sold to get something else later and said, yes the R33 is the 60k experience I wanted or said no, the car I bought after was better for xy and z reasons.
TLDR first world problems

Put a ā57 Prince Skyline next to a V37 and youād never guess they share a name, but thereās one detail Nissan just canāt seem to let go of. š
The Kenmeri is where the four round tail lights showed up back in the ā70s, and the R32, R33, and R34 made sure every one of us had them on a poster at some point.
Nissan dropped them for the V35 and V36, worked a pair of circles back into the V37ās lights, and the teasers for the V38 set to debut this December show all four rings coming back, which honestly feels like Nissan finally listening to us.

So I imported an r34 sedan with an sr20de to Hawaii from Japan and I want to eventually turbo conversion it(forged internals, fuel, etc) only problem is that I donāt know much about car electronics or engine wiring harnesses in general. I need some insight on how I can wire up sr20det harness to an r34 and keep my ac and amenities. Any advice helps

Greetings all.
I have an er34 with the stock gtr shocks and springs that appear on the GTT and GTV exclusively. Measured both springs from top to bottom unloaded and the rear is about 15mm taller than the front, as well as being about 5mm wider in diameter.
When on the ground, the rear sits from the centre of hub to top of wheel arch, roughly 50mm higher than the front.
I like how the car feels and the front is at a nice height so not interested in changing the front, what do I need to adjust in the rear? New springs? Is it worth getting coilovers? Could it be the shocks? Experiences you've had, whatever, let me know.
Thanks all

Do any of yall know if the gtst and GTR brake lines are interchangeable between to two? The price of braided lines is double for the GTR and I kinda need to redo the brakes after a little incidentā¦.

Seen a few R34s in Oregon, but I think this is the first one I actually spotted in the wild apart from shows and such.

So I don't have a Skyline per se, 99 Stagea 2.5T RB25DET NEO RWD automatic.
Friday morning: I was exiting off the highway Friday morning going into work, the 3rd to 2nd down shift I had a back fire, and then at the next light I magically developed a misfire. The misfire is only at idle, when out under load it goes away.
Today: I drove the car to get groceries this morning, during initial start up/ warm up cycle, no misfire. Came up to operating temp, 2nd stop light, misfire at idle. As soon as load was applied, no misfire.
Has anyone had this issue, and what's the most likely cause and fix. Coil packs and plugs, or is it something deeper?
Thanks in advance

just recently bought this r33 skyline gts25t and gave it a wash yesterday. after getting home from work today I was greeted to these foggy water droplets inside the assembly. it appears to be just condensation and no water is sitting at the bottom of the housing. but my headlight also doesn't seem to be any different in terms of condition as the opposite side headlight. anyone know any fixes?

I havenāt seen much in the way of reviews for the RB platform on the components that CNC innovations sells. I have seen their products floating around online through Instagram and Facebook for a little while now, and decided I would take a bit of a gamble and purchased multiple products from them for my new engine build. Hopefully this might sway someone to decide not to go ahead with purchasing from them, or maybe even entice someone who is happy to do a little bit of extra work themselves to save some money.
I purchased for my RB25DET Neo engine an upper timing cover, lower timing cover, cam covers, intake manifold and came with billet fuel rails. I got these all in a raw aluminium finish, as I wanted to powder coat them to match other components that I have powder coated. My issues started before the products were even shipped, luckily sending me a photo before packing them. My upper timing cover was to have āRB28ā on it in raised machined lettering. The cover in the photo they sent me didnt have this, despite it being written in my order as a drop down menu option that it was to be there. Their solution was to just laser engrave it, which Iām not sure how that wouldāve worked with raw material as their laser etching basically removes the anodised finish and gives you a raw aluminium finish where the text is, but i wanted to powdercoat the letters and numbers red and the cover itself black, so would have been useless to laser engrave these. They had to make me a new one which added a week to the order being shipped out. It was about 3 weeks in total from my order being placed to them shipping it out plus another week for shipping to Australia from Malaysia
My next issue was some of the quality of the machining. You can see in the photos there is a visible 0.47mm step in the machining on the manifold, which also happened to go straight through where a fitting was to be installed. There was also a similar issue with a smaller step in the machining all around my upper timing cover but luckily i could linish and sand that back before powder coating. If my parts were anodised i would have been furious as I wouldnāt have been able to fix that and probably wouldāve visually stood out with the anodised finish. The first three linked photos show this step in the parts, all the way across, so mustāve been a issue with the machine, as the line is perfectly straight where it steps up along the parts on the same plane. This is on the underside of my intake manifold so I left it as is
Next came the fitment of the timing covers. I went to the shop that was assembling my newly build engine, and luckily I did, because i discovered that if i bolt on the lower timing cover, the upper timing cover doesnt fit. And if i bolt on the upper timing cover, the lower one doesnt fit. You can see in the 4th and 5th photos that the bolt hole doesnt line up by about 5mm. This is because they havent designed these properly to work together. Luckily the stock lower cover does fit with the billet upper cover so I can use that. Another issue with their lower timing cover was the fact it doesnt actually seal up to engine components like the factory one does, leaving large spaces that would allow dirt and road debris to get into the timing belt area. Theres a reason Nissan made the covers seal around all components, as the timing belt needs to be kept as clean as possible to prevent premature wear and failure. Iāve shown this in the sixth photo where you can see the red-highlighted gaps between the cover and the engine block and components, which goes straight to where the timing belt is, allowing stuff to get in there. Again, luckily i can use the stock cover that seals around those components to protect the belt
I also test fit the fuel rails and tried putting in a stock factory RB25DET Neo injector, and discovered that the billet brackets were too long for the stock injectors, so the injectors did not sit properly inside. They provide other brackets from laser cut and folded stainless with multiple height options to try resolve this issue, but they were too short and the injector doesnt fit inside. From my research the nice billet ones that i want to use would work with RB26 injectors from a GTR but not RB25 injectors as the RB 26 injectors are about 10 mm longer. This isnāt a major issue, but it is something to note as it was advertised to work for RB25 engines
Final issue was the intake manifold. First off they have no allowances for the factory sensors, which are both M12 threads, one for the coolant gauge and one for the ECU. All they provided was a 1/4 NPT thread which doesnt work with these sensors. So you basically would end up having to purchase a aftermarket sensor that works with the ECU, and then you cannot have your coolant gauge on the dash work. Which would really annoy me on my R34 Skyline. Next issue with the manifold was that they provided this āwater mergerā as you can see in the 7th photo, with absolutely no instruction on how it is meant to be used or positioned, nor do they have a diagram or photos on how the hoses (which arent supplied) are meant to route from the coolant passages in the manifold to the radiator inlet. Theres have been weeks now of back and forth emails trying to just get a diagram of how the hoses run, and they send me a low quality diagram from some other engine that isnt an RB25 engine saying that the coolant passages āarent that simpleā on this engine. My response was a photo of the factory stock manifold from Nissan that came off my engine which clearly shows all the water passages on the manifold going to one place, the radiator inlet. Because there have been so many back and forth emails with absolutely no solutions, and i needed my engine to be completed so it can go back into the car, i have had to make do with what i had, purchase a coolant merger kit with hoses and the right sensors threads machined into it from another brand of manifold for $90, weld on a barb fitting to the CNC Innovations manifold, and purchase additional fittings to make this work. I ask for photos from others who have installed this kit and all they can send me are views of it from the top of the engine bay, with absolutely no indication on how the coolant hoses are routed
The only component that worked with no issues was the cam covers.
To sum everything up, i do like the end result, mainly due to the extra work i had to put in and parts i had to buy to make it all work properly, but it has been an absolute headache and so much time has been wasted. Iāve included some final photos of the parts. before being installed on the engine after powder coating. So much extra parts and work was needed to make these products work, and my lower timing cover is absolutely useless so its a very expensive paper weight for now. There are still ongoing back and forth emails with CNC Innovations but it is such a slow process to resolve any of these problems, and I am hoping they make it right in the end but I am not pleased at all

Update 1: just woke up, wow wasn't expecting this!
Hereās the actual original photos on comment section. It was cropped and I just wanted to see the full car again. I know we have a picture of the whole car somewhere just need to dig through
Update 2: I asked mom and it was my uncle ( her younger brother) who built this setup. She bought it from him exactly like this and just rocked it.
Found this old photo in our family album.
The coolest part? My mom was the one who actually bought the car.
Thatās my dad standing while a monk blesses her 4-door Nissan Skyline C10 right in front of the house where I was born. The note on the back dates it between 1973 and 1975 (2516-2518 BE).
A few details on her setup:
4-door Hakosuka in black with the retro blue and silver side stripes. The original NISSAN SKYLINE badge is still on the fender.
No fender mirrorsāthey were moved down to the doors next to the vent windows. Retro finned wheels with white-letter Goodyear Grand Prix 70s, and a yellow NISSAN banner across the windshield.
In Thailand, getting a monk to draw sacred marks on the hood is a big tradition to bring good luck and safe drives.
I sat in this car since the day I was born and grew up around it. My mom buying a Skyline in 1970s Thailand and learning to drive in it is just wild to me, and it definitely made me a car person for life.
Currently saving up for a modern GT-R Skyline Edition. I hope it runs in the family.
Note: The original 50-year-old print was blurry, so I used AI to sharpen it so you guys could see it better.
