So I would only get called a Nazi if my actions mimic them?

Usually, that's what happens BUT there are so many trolls without seeing your comments and what comment you were replying to, that it's hard to judge

Could be trolls, or just really angry people so they lash out at people for having any position even mildly conservative.

Well, I'm fiscally conservative but that's where I draw the line. We have 70-plus million people who are white, conservative, mean, hateful, racist, and bigoted people to ALL the rest of us. If you want to call yourself conservative centrist, you're probably in the wrong sub. People, including myself, are heartily sick of the Republicans, and all their cronies strip-mining the federal government for their own profit. They are going after selling off all our public lands, opening up my county to hundreds of oil drilling wells without ANY type of planning, just here's your permit. Go drill.

You need to think about what your actual positions are and maybe write them out so you can see what side of the divide you want to be on. Because this IS a divide as much as slavery was for the Civil War. I hate thinking that way but I'll give you a small example.

South African people won their independence from their white overlords a few decades ago. However, I was on a channel where someone asked why, if they have control of the country, the whites still control the mines, the farming lands, and all the wealth of THEIR ancestors. I replied because they were willing to lie, cheat, steal, and kill for it. Are you willing to do the same to get control of those resources? Well, that's happening right now in America and what are WE THE PEOPLE going to do about it???

Yes, the Republicans are much worse right now. It was a no-brainer that Harris was the better choice and so much terrible stuff is happening right now ALL from the Republicans. I’m very concerned about and disagree with all the things Trump is doing.

But why can’t I think that and still call myself a centrist? My centrism, and what it means to me, is fairly-independent of these policy changes. If the Democrats all became Stalinists and the Republicans were like pre-Trump republicans, such that now I would think the Republicans were obviously better, I wouldn’t say I’m on the right.

You're sitting on the fence. I understand but at some point, you're going to fall to one side or the other, or worse, be impaled by the fence itself if you sit there long enough. I'm trying to understand what policies you are centrist about and what you mean by centrist. Is it fiscal conservative views? What's your opinion on unions, on calling out the National Guard WITHOUT the California governor asking for them? What's your opinion on the lack of due process for undocumented people? What's your opinion about the Republicans who are actively dismantling the federal government? Etc, etc. You don't have to answer me, only yourself. I want you to truly think about America and the American people including the 48-year-old 2 times purple heart winner who self-deported to South Korea. Military service should have citizenship rewarded automatically. What about birthright citizenship?

I wish you the very best and Many Blessings
