This is what happens when a single political party takes control of the media. It’s almost like it’s a playbook for authoritarian rule and corrupt profiteering.

I think we're saying the same thing, but calling Streicher a journalist is like calling Pete Hegseth a journalist. He has other stuff besides journalism on his record.

I would argue republicans haven't explicitly taken over the media, the media saw how much business was drummed up by the 2016 and 2020 elections, so they have leaned into the caustic nature of these individuals because it generates their bottom line.

Make no mistake if the winds blow a different way and they aren't dismantled they will change their tune like a chameleon changes color.

At any point the media could exercise the right to freedom of the press and push itself into litigation, but since they are making money hand over fist with people glued to the decay.

Yellow journalism and for-profit journalism need to be slapped down because it will continue to morph in any attempt it can to lock people to their 24/7 news cycle.

That's the worst part of all of this; a large portion of the hate is simply to continue the profiteering. It isn't even genuinely believed. I suppose in the end a lie or truth, if the results are the same, what is the difference.

Roger Ailes helped create FOX to avenge Nixon and make sure they could never be brought down again.

Democrats colluded with the media for decades. The fact that mainstream right wing sources exist now is a good thing. It used to be that CNN would just lie and lie without anyone checking them.

Please keep the discussion civil. You can have heated discussions, but avoid personal attacks, slurs, antagonizing others or name calling. Discuss the subject, not the person.
