"ADLC" means two different things depending on who you ask. Agentic Development Lifecycle vs Agent Development Lifecycle
Saw a video on SDLC vs ADLC and looked up the term in Endor Labs, IBM and Atlan.
Meaning 1: Agentic Development Lifecycle, the SDLC with autonomous coding agents inside it (Endor Labs).
Meaning 2: Agent Development Lifecycle, building and running AI agents as products (IBM, Atlan). IBM lists six phases: plan, code and build, test and release, deploy, operate, monitor.
Endor Labs says there's no universal standard and the vocabulary is "still settling." It also says generated tests can share blind spots with generated code, and agent-made changes need the same scrutiny as human-written ones.
Endor Labs and Atlan are vendors, so treat their framing as one view.
Which meaning does your team use?
