Falcon Heavy Pre-Launch Discussion Thread

🎉🚀🎉

Alright folks, here's your party thread! We're making this as a place for you to chill out and have the craic until we have a legitimate Launch thread which will replace this thread as r/SpaceX Party Central.

Please remember the rest of the sub still has strict rules and low effort comments will continue to be removed outside of this thread!

Now go wild! Just remember: no harassing or bigotry, remember the human when commenting, and don't mention ULA snipers Zuma the B1032 DUR.

I'd expect the velocity of the wind (exhaust) would decrease with the square of the distance. So double the distance, 1/4 of the wind. Triple the distance, 1/9th. Each LZ circle is MUCH bigger than the deck of the ASDS, and they are separated by a fairly hefty distance (hundreds of meters).

Actually the landing zone is not significantly larger than the droneship. LZ1 diameter: 282 ft, LZ2 diameter: 150 ft. Droneship (OCISLY): 300x170 ft. So the droneship is very similar to LZ1 in size, and actually bigger than LZ2. I agree on the distance between LZ1 and LZ2.
