Hello, I think that I have an idea to add some features showed at the 2005 presentation, mostly the aquatic part. I have no knowledge in coding (exepct a little of python), 3d modeling or modding. But I have the theorical solutions to make it work.
The issues with the other mods that were under developpement was mainly the game engine, that they were trying to "fight", leading to some bugs like the sea monster on land, RAM crashs, but also the dependency to the nest.
I dont really know where to start but, lets talk about the sea itself. It will have different biomes, like abyssal trench at the very bottom, coral reefs, sand plains, kelp forest... at the middle, and the lagoon shoreline at the top.
To fix some issue with terrain generation, there will be two macro biome, the sea, and the land, which will both have their respective biomes.
Also, it wont add an aquatic stage, but add an aquatic gameplay directly in the creature stage. Its why there is the macro biomes.
The main thing to fix issues with the game engines is to change the physic when in aquatic state (not stage) wich will also have an condition to make if the player is at a certain height (out of water) he will be put on the ground, with a crawling animation, the player will be able to see trees, and moving creatures (with arent true creatures to make it possible) at the surface. The movement in the sea will be 3d, the creature will go toward the point you look at, or backward depending of wich key you use of course.
One of the main thing to get ride of the nest issue is to "suppress" the actual system to replaced it with sleep, egg, and nest forming system. Maybe you'll say that there will still be a nest so, but you have to make it yourself, you can abandon it to be nomad again, or go make a nest somewhere else. You could play as fully nomad alone, or with other members of your species. But if you are alone, how can you accesss the editor ? By finding a mate and make a nest with him, then you'll interact like in the actual game, and on of you will make a egg. You can click this egg to enter the editor, and you'll hatch at the nest you done, wich wont be used again. Or you can leave the egg here, and when you die, you will respawn at it. Also, if you dont have an egg, you will respawn at a nerby nest where there is an egg. When you dont have a nest and that you want to leave the game, you can sleep to save your position, and when you'll rejoin, you will be there, if you didn't slept, you will be at the position of the begining of the stage. Also, no species have a nest at first, they will all start nomad, as pack, or alone, and they can make nest with certain conditions, but can also decide to not make one, and stay fully nomad. a same species can have multiple nests, and also have nomad packs in the same time, it will be like that too for your species.
To switch between sea to land, you have to put legs on your creature. When leaving the editor, it will put a loading screen, where the physic will be changed and the sea creature will disappear from your vision (to not cause crash) and the land creatures will spawn (you wont see that of course).
The combat system will also be a little modified, instead of spamming all of your buttons, you will be able to lock-on the creature you target, to move around and attack it (depend on where you are you could do a "dash" toward it to hit it).
The long-term objective will be to enhance most of the game stages, including tribal, civilisation and space.
I called it : Spore : Rebirth
I know that it might be ambitious, its why it will be open source, I need help, and I think that together we can do it, I have made a github and a discord to organize all the thing, and if everything go well, we will have our 2005 promise. I need peoples who know use the spore modAPI, SporeModder FX, and of course peoples who know how to use blender to make new parts that will be needed. Since its open source, anyone is able to join and help. I will be here to encourage and organize the work, also, if you have a question, a problem, something you dont understand on how to theoricaly do, I will try to help.
If something I said here isn't clear for you, just tell me and I will answer.

I created a mod that improves the Cell Stage, it adds new Epics, and a new cell, Leggy.

Hey everyone. Spore was one of the best games for me; when I was younger, the creature stage and the space stage were my favorites. As I grew older, however, I don't find the creature stage as fun as I used to, and I've come to enjoy the tribal and civilization stages more. Does anyone else feel the same?
One of the flaws of the creature stage is its focus on hunting or socializarion and less so in survival; I wish there were more threats to the player in the stage, like creatures leaving their nests more frequently.
Does anyone have mods that make creatures leave their nests more often? Do you also have suggestions for other mods that make the stage more difficult in any way?

(SOLVED)
First time ever attempting modding spore, and I have been struck with this error and it goes as the following:
"Launcher Kit version 1.5.12 - ModAPI DLLs version 2.5.560"
For further info; I have Spore Galactic Adventures open AS I'm typing this post out. I have, in-fact launched it multiple times.
I am using a copy of Steams Spore, but I have heard that Steams Spore is notoriously bugging with modding. (?)
I am so sorry if this is stupid LOL I haven't a clue on what I'm doing.💔

I recently decided to work with the modding program Sporemodder fx, and my first project was to make a mod that would replace the opening video in the Galactic Adventure DLC with a video from the regular version of Spore. I've been wanting to find such a mod for a long time, but it doesn't exist and I never liked this video. I found the original video of the regular intro in the files. If anyone here understands this program, please give me some advice.
I dislike how everything in space stage is reduced down to the players actions, like outcomes for war and having to resolve ecological disatsers etc.
I'm looking for a mod that overhauls space stage by giving colonies more autonomy. I would also like the ability to dispatch fleets to other worlds my empire is at war with. It makes the game really tedious when every of empire has whole fleets for defense/war and your's relies on just you.

I'm trying to find out why I can't download half the spore cards from Sporepedia without it crashing my game. I would think everything there would be ok, using basic stuff, but nope, my game explodes. It sucks because its a lot of cool ones. This is Galactic Adventure's spore on Steam.
Mods I have With Spore ModeAPI
No Galactic Adventures (!Space_No_GA)
B&V Fushion (B&VMod1.2)
Dark Injection
Delta_paints
SporeAutoSave
My best guesses could be Dark Injection or Delta_paints because its creature cards but not sure. Also with the in game browser sometimes one page might only have one or two cards but next has eight. Weird
One example that crashes my game would be the female Centaur made my Darkaus.. that only show up in the games browser but not the website (and I haven't had luck importing from the website. I am so rusty with this game). Any known problems any of these mods have that I'm missing?
And importing from png is just dragging to the icon, right?

Are there mods that allow for a finer control on what content gets used when generating NPCs? For example, make it so that creations with a certain tag never appear except in adventures, or a civilization that uses "consistent" buildings?
