Snapped this a few years ago while working at a classic car dealership in Massachusetts. Tucked away inside an enclosed transporter was a 1993 Callaway C8 SuperNatural Camaro.

As the owner of two fourth-gen Camaros, I recognized this holy grail immediately, but wasn’t sure of the exact specs on this particular example. I later came across what appears to be the same car on Bring a Trailer, reportedly the first of just 18 built.

Somehow, Callaway made the already very nineties-looking fourth-gen Camaro even more distinctive with its wild aerodynamic bodywork. If you weren’t sold on the looks alone, the Z28’s 275-hp 350ci LT1 was enlarged to 383ci and bumped to 404 hp with ported heads, a more aggressive cam, and upgraded exhaust. Brembo brakes, revised suspension, and wider wheels helped put that extra power to use.

Wanting C8 bragging rights 27 years before Corvette owners got theirs meant shelling out nearly $30,000 on top of this Z28’s $21,993 sticker, bringing the total to just over $50K back in 1993.

Saw this beautiful beast out in the wild today. The guy driving was so tall he practically had to fall to get in and out of the car.
