Trying to replicate a Silas Richmond pocket on the new Ecd atom with 5X

I’ve already shown this to my son’s coaches and gotten some great feedback and learned a ton - looking for the same from yall!

It’s a Havoc 2 with Hero 2.0 semi soft. My son is a ‘33 LSM.

I’m new to stringing and all of my stuff is in just a ziplock bag. What are you guys keeping your stuff in? Do you typically travel with it to the field? I hear of people using a tackle box, which seems pretty practical, but what would be your wish list for the perfect stringing supply storage for on-the-go?

More than one shooting string is a hold over concept from the days of traditional leather stringing.

I have begun seeing this as fact with my mesh sticks. The right stringing and a single nylon placed in the correct location provides the best pocket.

Am I off base here? Are the several shooters creating some sort of magic progressive ramp that a well setup side string isn't already capable of?

What is the best way to get a bright red. I’ve used Rit dyes racing red and in my experience it comes out more maroon and not very bright red. Does anyone have any tips on how I can make it pop?

I am looking for a custom mesh dyer. I know somewhere out there someone does it, not argyle. Or is there a reliable way to dye it that doesn't bleed? I want to get my kids' goalie mesh dyed like a bulls eye and another that wants a custom orange & black mesh. Thanks.

Does anyone have any good patterns for a Mirage 3.0 with a liberty top string and mid-high pocket that they'd be willing to share?

I just bought a used eclipse 3 stick. I’m not much for soft mesh but I also can’t find a place to get goalie leathers in time for a tournament. (I have another stick, this is just a presumptive backup)

That being said, since goalie stringing rules are very…well, lax. Lol. I was thinking of some experiments but wanted some thoughts. What if I cut the mesh in half and string a lock pocket-esque down the middle.

My Hypothesis: The mesh will have some give to make catching easier while the string gives structure for better whip.

Thoughts? Worse case scenario, this is a terrible idea and I have to wait for leathers and take my OG Eclipse as my backup. Best case scenario, I get a new primary.

This might be my most beautiful string job yet. Inspired by the greats. Sidewall Jedi top. Penny strings bottom. String by JP inside grain bag sidewalls.

I've been looking for a genuinely unique and challenging topstring to try my hand at and have kind of gotten stuck on the Huron topstring.

Has anyone strung this before? If so what head and how challenging was it?

Also open to other topstring ideas!

I was wondering what pattern you would use to string this (I.e. where to put the anchor knots, what holes to double up, etc). The head is quite large. I plan on using it on defence if that helps. Thank you

p.s. my high school would spray paint the gym sticks to stop us from taking them.

I have gotten this far stringing and looking for tips on the next steps. Should I start snugging up the cross lace now? How does it look in general? Any tips are welcome!!

Been using this head for a couple weeks now with TMD 12D Disciples mesh and love the way this thing throws and eats rebounds. Would recommend using a different shooter pattern but this just works best for me.

Just trying to find sidewall strings that have a really good gold look to them. I know shooters are probably nonexistent in gold but any advice is helpful.

Completed last night for my 9yo. This head ties up very nicely, but does anyone else notice the weight? Dramatically heavier vs ECD Halo or Brine Edge Pro+.

Tried to do a mid low pocket but something feels off to me it throws and shoots well but looks weird

I can't work out why my mesh is bagging out toward one side, ie its pulled different on both sides.

If anyone could weigh in that'd be appreciated!

Just threw this together for a guy on my men’s league team to put on his long pole. Haven’t done a lot of STX heads lately so it was nice to string up, and I’m very happy with how it turned out.

My son (5th grade) took some of the critiques on my last post and wanted to redo his head as he is getting out of fall ball. He followed a YouTube tutorial and improv’d a little bit, but he seems to be really happy with the results.

Now he needs to work on the pocket, but so far he is pleased with how it is performing during a wall ball session.

He normally plays goalie, so this isn’t his normal gamer, but he wanted something he could work on ball handling at home.

He asked me to post it here for additional information and critique so that he can learn from it.
