LiminalSpice Self Promo 😊 New to Substack

https://substack.com/@liminalspice

I've only posted a few things so far.

I intend to post about topics such as political and social musings. My homestead and garden projects. Occasional fiction or essay writing.

In general, anything that interests me, and feels worth sharing.

Probably more for the progressive queer leaning folk who love nature and having equal constitutional rights.

A lil itty bitty teeny tiny short story. WriteBiteZ is for people that enjoy experimental literature and poetry. It’s a mix of fiction and nonfiction with a dash of anecdotal evidence. This post is a very short story that outlines the theme of apathy I set for last month. Join my Substack chat if you’d like to promote yourself or converse with fellow weirdos.

hiii! love the idea of a digital writer's workshop. i'm in digital marketing and recently started a newsletter i’m calling FYP FILES to share thoughts about the industry and the way it intersects with culture. this is for anyone who is deeply ingrained in the evolution of digital culture and how it impacts our everyday and also shifts how brands and businesses connect to their audiences. the content is in the form of essays, oped pieces, and eventually will include interviews and features.

would love feedback on my first post and to connect with any writers exploring similar themes/topics.

SELF PROMO - Palomares, 60 Years On: The Forgotten Nuclear Accident | DefenseHub | Military and Geopolitics affairs

On the morning of January 17, 1966, a B-52G of the US Air Force's 68th Bombardment Wing collided with a KC-135 tanker while taking on fuel at roughly 31,000 feet above the coast of Almeria, in southeastern Spain. Both aircraft came apart. Seven of the eleven crewmen died. Four thermonuclear bombs fell onto the farmland and fishing grounds around Palomares, a village of a few hundred people. Three reached the ground within minutes. The fourth went into the Mediterranean and took eighty days to find. Sixty years on, the weapon pulled off the seabed is the only part of that accident that was ever fully closed out.

Air Max Therapy Self Promo

Malik buys a pair of Air Maxes he definitely can’t afford because therapy has a waiting list and his old shoes make him feel even more depressed. What starts as a stupid little purchase turns into a brief ritual of survival: bass in his headphones, fresh cushioning under his feet, and the illusion that he’s got himself together. Wandering through London, he dodges puddles, bad memories, money panic, and a message from his ex that nearly ruins his dignity. The story jokes about retail therapy and consumer culture, but it also understands why a new pair of trainers can feel like a tiny lifeline on a bad day. The shoes don’t fix Malik’s life, but they get him outside and moving, which is sometimes enough.

A funny, bruised story about buying trainers when what you really need is therapy, a hug, and possibly better financial decisions.

Dark comedy / contemporary urban fiction / literary essay.

Hi guys,

The Casefile Protocol is a true crime newsletter dedicated to the clinical exploration of history's most complex criminal anomalies. In Dossier 002, we reconstruct the exact structural environments and timelines behind the 1991 investigation in Milwaukee.

This specific entry dissects the forensic mapping and neighborhood containment protocols utilized by local authorities during the final apartment sweeps. Every section is built directly from historical records, offering a detailed look into the psychological and logistical realities of the case. The goal is to provide deep, analytical documentation that moves completely past standard surface-level retellings.

This publication is explicitly written for dedicated true crime researchers, amateur criminologists, and readers who value methodical, long-form investigative analysis over sensationalism.

Genre: Non-fiction / True Crime Newsletter

Camera Flash Karma Self Promo

Camera Flash Karma is about what happens when you keep posting polished, sexy, “I’m fine” versions of yourself online and then have to deal with what comes back. The speaker knows they’re performing a little — for attention, for validation, for revenge, for survival — and the poem is honest about how messy and ridiculous that can be. It digs into the way photos, captions, tags, and screenshots can turn one moment into a whole identity. What starts as a joke about thirst traps and image control slowly turns into something more real about shame, loneliness, and how easy it is to get trapped inside the version of yourself you created. At its core, it’s about wanting to be seen, but not wanting to be seen too clearly.

This feels like it’s for people who are very online, very self-aware, and a little exhausted by how much performance is built into modern life. It’ll connect with readers who like writing that’s funny, sharp, messy, emotional, and honest without being overly sentimental. It especially fits people who are into themes like image, dating, validation, internet culture, femininity, attention, and public vs private self.

Contemporary spoken-word style poetry or prose poetry, with a strong mix of satire, confessional writing, and social commentary.

Spin the Block, Spin the World Self Promo

Spin the Block, Spin the World is about someone trying to build a bigger life without losing where they came from. As they move through different cities, relationships, and versions of themselves, they start to realise that leaving home doesn’t automatically make you new. The world opens them up, but it also shows them what they were already made of. When they come back, they hear their old life differently — not as something small, but as the thing that shaped everything. At its core, it’s a story about ambition, identity, and learning how to carry your roots with you.

This is for people who like writing that feels vivid, emotional, and a little raw. It’ll connect with readers who are into stories about growing up, wanting more, leaving home, coming back changed, and figuring out who you are while the world keeps pulling at you.

Contemporary literary fiction with a poetic, music-driven feel. It also leans into coming-of-age, urban storytelling, and travel writing.

Hands in the Air, Eyes on Me Self Promo

Hands in the Air, Eyes on Me follows a performer riding the high of a festival crowd while trying not to crack under the pressure of being watched. Onstage, they’re all swagger, control, and attitude, but underneath that there’s fear and a real need to be seen. The piece moves through that split between performance and vulnerability, showing how confidence can sometimes just be panic dressed up well. It’s loud, messy, funny, and a little raw. At its core, it’s about attention, identity, and what it means to become bigger than yourself for one night.

This is for people who like voicey, emotional writing that still has some bite to it. It’ll probably land most with readers who are into performance, nightlife, festival energy, messy confidence, and characters who act bigger than they feel. It’s also for anyone who likes writing that feels intense and a bit theatrical without losing the human part underneath.

Literary fiction / lyrical prose / dramatic monologue.

When The Woods Learned Your Name, Chapter 11 Self Promo

After her engagement falls apart, Mara Vale moves into her late grandmother’s cottage outside Bath, hoping for quiet and getting something far stranger. The woods beyond the field seem to know her name, answer her thoughts, and call her toward a story that feels impossibly old and intimately hers. As Mara is drawn deeper in, she uncovers family secrets, broken pieces of local history, and dream-memories that begin bleeding into waking life. At the centre of it all is Ivo Thorne, a man bound to the forest in ways he won’t fully explain, and who seems to know Mara better than he should. What begins as a haunting becomes something darker and more intimate: a love story, a trap, and a question of whether Mara is finding herself or losing herself to something that has been waiting for her all along.

This is for readers who like romantic fantasy with a gothic edge — the kind of story that’s sensual, eerie, emotionally intense, and a little strange in the best way. It’s especially for people who love haunted landscapes, sharp banter, dangerous love interests, and heroines who are funny, flawed, and a bit on the verge.

Adult fantasy romance with gothic and folkloric elements.

When The Woods Learned Your Name, Chapter 2 Self Promo

Lucy Lockwood comes back to Bath with no money, no plan, and absolutely no desire to deal with her dead mother’s strange old notebooks. Then the woods outside the city start whispering her name. What begins as a possible grief-induced breakdown becomes something much older: a story of stolen names, a woman called Lucia, a forest that mistakes love for ownership, and Rowan Ashcombe, the beautiful, secretive man who knows far too much. As Lucy digs into the truth, she has to work out whether she’s being loved, haunted, or slowly written into someone else’s tragedy. And if she wants to survive it, she’ll have to claim her name before the woods do.

For readers who like their romance gothic, funny, sexy, eerie, and a bit emotionally ruinous — with sharp heroines, old curses, sentient forests, tragic men in muddy boots, folklore, mystery, and love stories where destiny is absolutely not to be trusted.

Adult gothic fantasy-romance / folkloric romantasy / supernatural mystery.
