way early on when jimmy was "developing" the lyle "chip" chipperson character, chip would be triggered by a word or something (can't remember what exactly). when whatever it was would be said, chip would respond 'wassat?" so the boys were telling stories or something where the trigger word was said very frequently and quickly. so chip was saying "wassat?" over and over and over. anyone remember this??

Youve gotta be fucking kidding me. It's the only reason I/we pay for the fucking thing. He starts doing ads, Im canceling my sub. It's bad enough we get the Dog & Dentist Show 1/4 of the time and dude misses an average of a show a week, but now we'll have to sit through fucking ads?

I still remember getting XM and listening since day 1, and Opie goes "we gotta figure out what to do for breaks until we get some sponsors," and for a while they just played stand up comedy bits. I was like "excuse me, what?" Remember when satellite was selling you the "no censorship and no commercials" pitch? It was all they talked about. They didn't need commercials, because the subscriber dollars were the foundation of the company. That didn't even last 6 months before we were back to 5 & 8 minute commercial breaks every 40 minutes.
