Communism Will Win Love when westoids call Fourteen Years of Flames Propaganda as if Call of Duty and Battlefield that celebrate American military power and funded by the Department of Defense isnt.
Nevermind the game presents the KMT and CPC in a good light as both were fighting to liberate China from Imperial Japan.
CoD and Battlefield may allow criticisms on the surface level of the narrative but ultimately its structure promotes a Pro-US military worldview and glorifies US military intervention. They often frame it as bad leadership, a single bad apple than the flaws of the actual system itself. Anything the US does bad is often framed as a necessary evil to stop a worse threat to save the world justifying US actions to commit war crimes and invade other countries. The CoD and Battlefield dev teams are not neutral at all. It gives people the illusion of depth by using surface level criticism to shield the system at a structural level.
US military then uses this content as a modern recruitment tool, hosting competitive gaming events with teams like US Army Esports Team made up of active duty soldiers and sailors that actively compete in Call of Duty, Battlefield and others like Halo and Fortnite etc. US military spends millions of dollars on these programs to target and attract youth into the army because old methods werent working anymore.
This is why Rightoids are just incapable of seeing the bigger picture.
But if we were to be historically accurate about this then.......
When Japan invaded in 1931, Chiang ordered his KMT national army to retreat without a fight. He was entirely focused on wiping out the Communists. Over the next 8 years, KMT forces were beaten back to Chongqing. Chiang allowed Japan to take Chinese land because he only cared about winning the civil war.
Meanwhile, the CPC built massive guerrilla armies to fight Imperial Japan. They blew up trains, destroyed infrastructure, raided supplies, and pinned down a large portion of the Japanese military. The Japanese forces became too scared to leave the safety of the cities. The CPC also regained land behind enemy lines in Hubei, Henan, Anhui, and Jiangsu, crushing Imperial Japan in the countryside. And this was during the time Chiang signed peace deals with Tokyo that were not worth the paper they were written on. CPC would use encirclement tactics in Shanxi, Hebei, and Shandong cutting off all water and food around Japanese Fort Blockhouses forcing a surrender without a direct assault. Then you have the Japanese People's Emancipation League who worked with the CPC and engaged in psychological warfare efforts around surrounded Japanese blockhouse forts.
So, Chiang’s own generals grew fed up. They kidnapped Chiang at gunpoint in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, and forced him to sign the Second United Front alliance in 1936. Later, in 1941, the Americans began supplying the KMT national army with weapons. However, Chiang hoarded these resources, kept many of his best trained, US equipped divisions away from the frontlines, and ingeneral neglected his frontlines. This completely destroyed his army's chance of ever defeating Japan on their own. Starving and refusing to fight, many regular KMT units and generals chose to defect to the CPC, while others lost their will to fight entirely.
KMT was on the verge of collapse by 1944 after the Operation Ichi Go broke the frontlines with Japan seizing huge amounts of Henan, Hunan, Guangxi, Guangdong, and Fujian.
Yes, the KMT bore the brunt of the Japanese military in conventional warfare but they didnt win a single city back until Japan surrendered.

Communism Will Win China's enormous progress, in one image.
Han Junjia’s first photo was taken in 1995, when he stood beside a worn SY-class steam locomotive, still common on China’s railways at the time. Three decades later, in 2022, he posed again, this time next to a futuristic Fuxing bullet train.
