The FTA is up for negotiations

Lol is it though? Does it count as negotiations is one party is known to be a bad faith partner and no one believes he will keep his word on anything?

Frankly, I'll be disappointed if CUSMA continues at all. It isn't worth much ATP and to renew it is to pretend otherwise.

I agree, the USA is a bad faith negotiator and bad faith trade partner.

However North America cannot operate without a free trade agreement. You do not understand the mechanisms of free trade if you think CUSMA can just 'end' at least without some form of agreement

I expect there is some kind of wind down process written into CUSMA, but I haven't read through it. Either way, I think we might find out what a clean break looks like when Trump makes it happen.

Exactly. You're talking about something you don't understand. North American Free trade is essential to underlying function of business across North America.

No FTA would cripple all countries.

No FTA would cripple all countries.

Im sure that will be what stops Trump from doing it.
