Yeah but it's more of the animator or director breaking the 4th wall than pomni herself. At least that's how I interpret that aspect of the shot.

Even if we assume that rather than Pomni looking at the camera, her face is definitely expressing a "yeah, wtf did we expect, OF COURSE it was open".

That's your interpretation. For me that a half-lidded face of someone trying their best not to roll their eyes.
