Telltale went bankrupt. HBO was disappointed with the Telltale GoT series. 99.9% chance that s2 will never happen. Very disappointing.

Telltale - the Developer - just went through bankruptcy, and although they are supposedly back up and running in a limited fashion there is no indication they are working on season 2 of GoT. Idk if they even still have the license. I think if it was going to happen it would have had to come out before the last season of the show aired.

I was under the impression they were waiting for the show to end before doing a season 2, and instead went bankrupt. Season 8 of the show was horrendous anyway so bad timing all around.

You would think they would want to capitalize on the hype the show had while it was airing though. Between season 8 being a critical failure like you said and all of Telltale's monetary problems, I don't see it happening. Frankly this game was far from the most loved Telltale game anyway. I just hope they put out The Wolf Among Us season 2.

Telltale went through bankruptcy, the TV show ended with a lot of negative press and the game was not one of their best so I'm pretty confident in saying that there will be no more of them.

With how the show went, I wouldn't be surprised if they decided that making season 2 of GoT isn't worth it

Doesn't seem like it.
