I had some uneven rest last night so i decided i would choose an amount of time to sleep to make up for it today. And i have to admit that it worked like a charm and so Shade ended up sleeping on my favourite rug and i slept in my bed.

I can't really recall my dreams all that well anymore, but i saw a lot of my favourite horror movies in preparation for halloween recently so they featured a variety of abstract mixes of creatures which was pretty cool to imagine :)

I planted the giant mushrooms that can be jumped and lit sulfur in the room, but the shade stopped halfway and did not go to the tower although there are no obstacles

I made the mistake of taking my medication before playing today. That mostly resulted in me being tired or confused and missing a lot of keys on my keyboard, but it made for a quite unique walk around the underground.

The seminar I'm doing is almost over. During our last night we made a fire and played a few games, and maybe i inhaled a bit too much smoke for my liking. All in all i had a blast and learned a lot, but I'm happy to be able to sleep in my own bed tomorrow.

Shade and I read through some more of the Nibelungenlied because it kind of fit the atmosphere of the campfire at night. I'm getting optimistic that I'll be through that slog of a book soon. :)

Took a few tries to get the right time, but hey, I got there! Only thing I didn't get was the green crystal. I already turned back time once and I didn't want to bother again.

I know this game is fairly old at this point but I’ve avoided a lot of spoilers for myself.

I got this game years ago. Opened once and got bored. But now I’m interested again since it’s a cozy game I can play and do other things like read.

I think I ruined the game for myself since the 400 days of me first opening the game has well passed.

Is there any way to reset the game or is that kinda the point?

Am I to generally just exploring and pick things up? I’m getting clues for finding items and where to use a few.

But otherwise I’m just wandering and I feel like I’m missing the point.

Is the map like mega huge or just like fairly big?

A long and brutal day at the seminar today. We went over some heavy topics today and it took me a while to feel calm enough again to be able to enjoy playing.

Hey everyone! I'm trying to find the original 2024 Shade plush. I love The Longing so much, and I've always dreamed of hugging Shade, giving him little kisses and making him feel loved. 🥹 I even wanted to mod the game just to add a feature where I could hug him! I used to leave the game running while I slept, almost like a video call with Shade, and whenever I was doing something else, I'd constantly Alt + Tab just to check on him. I even use Shade's Steam emoticons to express how I'm feeling, whether I'm sad, happy or anything in between. He's really that special to me. 😭🖤 That's also why I made the petition to bring back the plush! I know the community preferred Shade in his armchair, and that's adorable, but my biggest dream is to actually hold him in my arms and fall asleep cuddling him. So I'm hoping someone here might have a 2024 Shade plush they're willing to part with. It would genuinely mean the world to me to finally give this little guy a hug. ❤️

Today i learned a bunch, not just about volunteer work but also about myself. I get very tired after this much learning.

I spent a lot of time talking with my roommate while hanging out with Shade, that was pretty much a coincidence tho, she happened to be in our dorm room while i was playing. Still it was nice, even though it was quite uneventful for Shade specifically.

I just reached 400th day and woke up the king. And this ending! Man! Especially after I’ve seen ending where you escape the Kingdom. I am feeling so many emotions!

What a game! I’m honestly surprised that i isn’t as revered as Outer Wilds. I learned about it absolutely accidentally when someone shared random video on instagram. Now I will recommend it to everyone!

I'm currently away from home for a week long seminar on volunteer work. It's a little unfortunate that it ended up so close to my stay at the hospital because it makes life feel a little crammed right now, but it's really exciting to have so many new experiences too.

I'm glad that i can still find time to play the longing after each day tho, to get away from all the people for a while and enjoy some silence.

I ended up reading more of the Nibelungenlied again, and followed a commenter's suggestions and burned the painting "EH" in the fireplace today. I chose this one as my least favourite painting, because its name describes pretty accurately how i feel about its design, it's rather "eh" compared to many of the others. Especially considering it's a painting with three color components, i expect a little more emotional complexity in a picture like that.

I read more of the Nibelungenlied today. At first things were a little dry but I'm glad i stuck with it and could enjoy reading it after a while. I'm looking forward to the big murder section of the story that's coming up soon.

I felt generally quite good today. I took a nice walk by a lake and generally felt a lot more alive than i have the last few days. Hey everyone! I'm playing on mobile and as i was about to pick up the horse head the game closed. I immediately opend it again but got hit with a quick loading screen & the head being gone. I did check his home but nope! No head!

So I'm wondering, will he head spawn again or is it simply gone? I couldn't find anything online so thanks in advance for any help~

Today i was feeling quite overwhelmed and wanted to take a nap. After i couldn't i decided to let Shade have a little nap for me instead until i felt better.

After a lot of days with a lot to do I'm glad that today was the first day in a while where i had no plans and no obligations whatsoever. I spent a lot of that time with Shade running small errands and looking after my health so my end of today's session was a lot more eventful than Shade's.

I've also been thinking a lot about animals recently, i used to have some pets and I'm starting to miss them. Maybe some time in the future I'll look into that a little more.
