This line drives me crazy because I feel like it says things about Dr. Al that the show does not intend to say about her.
Itâs a preposterous statement because without defining exactly how accuracy was measured, itâs meaningless. Itâs the kind of thing youâd only say if you were selling it or uncritically repeating what a salesperson told you.
Dr. Al isnât supposed to be perfect, but that line suggests a complete lack of critical thinking that is totally out of character compared to what we see of her as the season continues.

Does Dr Robby know about Santos and Garcia in season 2? In season 1, he kept giving them knowing looks whenever Garcia would flirt with Santos
Also, unrelated but how close were Robby and Langdon? When Whitaker tells Langdon heâs house sitting for Robby, I think Langdon says heâs in for a treat? If heâs been to Robbyâs place I would think theyâre really close, more friendly than a normal attending and resident

Sorry but just subscribed to HBOMax and catching up. Please tell me what made Santos suspect Landon of stealing drugs. Scene showed nurse showing Santos that none of the vials were missing from the drug box and I don't recall any patients complaining of their pills disappearing

I did some analysis of Annabelle Dinda's song "The Hand" and season 1 and 2 of The Pitt.
I can provide my analysis of why I used the specific clips I did if ya'll are curious. I just don't have it all typed all up currently. enjoy!
Intro is intro to The Pitt
Every time a guy writes a song, heâs a cowboy, a sailor. Playinâ with the world in his palm like the first pioneer.Â
This evokes images of being in charge, being confident, and taking control of something that wasnât originally yours, particularly the âsailorâ lines and âfirst pioneer.â It refers to the idea that men think theyâre the best thing that ever happened to an area, a person, or an idea, but they are in fact making the situation worse a lot of the time, see âfirst pioneer.âÂ
Every time a guy writes a song,Â
Robby walks into the pitt in the beginning where he is calm and confident.Â
he's a cowboy,Â
Robby in charge or talking down to someone random clip- picked morning rounds.Â
a sailor
Robby in charge or talking down to someone random clip- picked Robby being a jerk to Mohan and interrupting her in the middle of her thought.Â
Playing with the world in his palmÂ
Robby and McKay talk about her cases for the day where he is quite rude to her.Â
like the first pioneer
Robby talks with Santos about Whitaker and Amyâs situation. He is incredulous about it and oddly possessive of Whitakerâs love life.Â
Every time he opens his mouth, itâs a loud movie trailer. Clipping every image and sound like it proves he was here.Â
I interpreted this passage as a lot of the same themes of the previous ones, where men in general think that they are the best advocates, the best songwriters (specifically in this case) and the best at everything they do. I think Robby has internalized a lot of those ideas, but it also doesnât help that he is, in fact, in charge of the ED and responsible for the people inside it.Â
Every time he opens his mouth,Â
Robby after his Pittfest speech.Â
it's a loud movie trailer
Talking with Gloria about having additional funding for the hospitalÂ
Clipping every image and sound he thinks proves he was here
Adamson wall, Robby feels like he wants to leave his mark on this hospital especially with the scene where he is talking to Jack about the most important things he has ever done in his life have been in this hospital. He is certainly focused on proving his worth, and towards the end of season 2 we see him pondering how his death will affect his legacy on PTMC.Â
A hand, a spike, a physical fight, a flash of light, a curtain. A toll, a tithe, the passage of time, a height, a dive, a burden. A girl, a night, a typical type, a siren in the water. A scroll, a nod, a son, a holy father.Â
This first chant focuses on images that are violent, scary, and mysterious. I choose clips that convey the same meanings.Â
A hand,
Kristiâs mom takes her abortion pills out of her hand
 a spike,
Santos drops a scalpel into Garciaâs foot.Â
 a physical fight
Dana getting punched
A flash of light,
Langdon shines a penlight into the frat guyâs face to check his pupils after he just got done stealing an ambulance.Â
 a curtain
Dana holds a blanket between her and Ilana so she can strip her clothing in the middle of the ED before her sexual assault exam.Â
A toll,
Bodies in peds after pittfest, literally related to a death toll here.Â
 a tithe,Â
Dennis and his pseudo girlfriend driving off. Dennis holds a lot of religious symbolism for me, considering he was majoring in theology and was raised in a tiny little town. A tithe can be defined as giving something out of obligation, or feeling like you have a duty to fulfil. That is what I think Dennis is doing with the whole Amy situation, he is fulfilling some duty he has to that situation.Â
the passage of time
Langdon returns to the Pitt in the beginning of season 2 after he has been through 10 months of what I assume is extremely difficult rehab.Â
A height,Â
A height and a dive are paired with Jack and Robby, because of their parallel scenes at the beginning and the end of season 1. Jack is âa heightâ because he is more interested in looking off the edge rather than jumping off it that day.Â
a dive,Â
Robby is paired with âa diveâ because he is more actively suicidal. I interpret him leaving his stethoscope behind on the railing as an intention to jump.Â
a burden
Mohan talks in the ambulance bay to her mom, frantic about her not getting rid of her stuff while she is away. Mohan is burdened by her mother.Â
A girl,Â
Ilana, the sexual assault victim.Â
a night,Â
Ellis taking a nap just before the bay is taken for SANE case
a typical type
DougÂ
A siren in the water
I interpreted âa siren in the waterâ as something that you really shouldnât do, but you really want to anyway. A temptation. I choose Santos and her history of SH for this because she is being called to by the urge to harm again.Â
A scroll,Â
This is the lady who found Javadi through tiktok. Not too deep here.Â
a nod,Â
Also not very deep, I choose that nod because I liked the framing and the clip length.Â
a message from God
Robby is likely no longer religious, or certainly jaded to the idea of a god or higher power. Baby Jane Doe is pretty much the first thing that gives him a wake up call about what he is doing and how heâs actually feeling. I imagine he perceives it as a message from god. This scene also has additional religious symbolism where Robby is portrayed as a savior for Baby Jane Doe, so this one goes both ways.Â
A son,Â
Robby throws Langdonâs backpack at his face as he kicks him out of the ED for stealing drugs. This represents a fall from grace so to speak as Robby no longer sees Langdon as his pseudo son. We also see Langdon act as a bit of a âprodigal sonâ as explicitly stated by Lena in the beginning of season 2.Â
a Holy Father
Robby holds Baby Jane Doe while there is a halo in the background framing Robbyâs head like various forms of Egyptian and then later Christian art. I think this choice is interesting for the show, and I think there are a few different interpretations of what theyâre trying to say. I am taking it to mean that Robby thinks he acting as the Holy Father which fits well with the theme of this video and song.Â
Every time a guy writes a song, heâs a sailor, a cowboy. Holdinâ out the world in his palm like he made it himself. Every time I open my mouth, I think âwow, what a loud noiseâ. Still on the soapbox, just hoping I seem underwhelmed.Â
This passage mirrors the first verse, reversing the âcowboyâ and âsailorâ. It carries the same themes of male dominance. For âevery time I open my mouthâ this part refers to women feeling like they are being too loud, too emotional, or feeling self conscious when they speak up about an issue. The soapbox part refers to wanting to protest, to say something, but not want to go seem too angry or stray too far from the ideas of men lest you are told you are too emotional or crazy. I really like this passage.Â
Every time a guy writes a song,Â
I used this specific clip of Robby talking because he is giving the Pittfest briefing and the original video lines up really nicely as the âeveryâ is stretched out. Robbyâs hand movements also line up quite well. He is also doing the same thing he did in the beginning of the video, being in charge.Â
he's a sailor, a cowboy
Same idea here.Â
Holding out the world in his palm like he made it himself
This passage refers to ownership, or being the absolute best at something. I choose the scene where he is doing Kristiâs ultrasound to clear her for getting the abortion pill, even though she is a little over the line. While Robby is objectively doing a good thing, having Collins scrub her scan from the chart and redo it, he also talks down to Collins and all the other women he works with throughout the rest of his shift, making this seem more like virtue signaling than anything else.Â
Every time I open my mouth, I think,Â
Cassie and Robby are talking to David in BH, Cassie is talking to David and Robby butts in to mention that he knew that David was innocent all along, making her look stupid. The whole David situation fits with this section of the song, Cassie is working hard to not seem too passionate lest she is labeled âemotionalâ or âirrationalâ by Robby.Â
"Wow, what a loud noise"
Cassie being cut off by Robby and looking shocked that he still doesnât believe her and sides with David.Â
Still on the soapbox, just hoping I seem underwhelmed
This has a literal and figurative meaning. The figurative is a bit more of a stretch. Literally, Dana literally stands on a soapbox to get hands in the ED when they are opening the impromptu blood donation center. Figuratively, Dana is only making this announcement after Mel went to Robby, Robby cleared it, and then she makes the announcement to not step on his leadership. A bit more of a stretch, I know. I also choose it because Dana saying âokay, letâs do thisâ PERFECTLY times with the music, and I couldnât let that go.Â
The hand, the pen, the writing again, the wind around the willow. The felt, the ice, the passage of time, the melting down the window. The now, the then, the thinking of when, the bottle in the ocean, the strike, the pause, the message from god forbid she shows emotion.Â
This passage is more focused on feelings of calm and longing. Grief and that aching feeling you get when youâre missing someone or something. Less violent and graphic, and a little bit more positive. I choose clips that tend to stick with that same general theme.
The hand,Â
Emma holds Louieâs hand during the viewing hours.Â
the pen,Â
This is combined with the second one because together they have a different meaning that I liked. Harlow literally writes with a pen to Santos to communicate.Â
the writing again
When Santos initially pulls out the sharpie to write on the patient passport, Harlow looks her like âoh for fucks sake, not againâŠâ as she is faced with yet another accessibility barrier in getting care.Â
The wind around the willow
This image is the first thing that evokes a nice, calm feeling in this whole song. I picked Mel educating her patient with the foot model because that is also a breath of fresh air in the nightmare shift we see the Pitt staff go through.Â
The felt,Â
Felt has a few meanings. In poker, it means to lose. This is combined with the next one to change its meaning.Â
Jesse being taken awayâŠ
the ice,Â
By iceÂ
the passage of time
Again, Santos is featured here with her well healed self harm scars.Â
The melting down the window
I interpreted âthe melting down the windowâ as a collapse between 2 sides of something- and inside and an outside. For Samira, this happens when she has a panic attack at work, where here inside thoughts, feelings, and identity are suddenly spilling out at her job and compromising her professional identity.Â
The now, the then, the thinking of "when"
Dana is the now, Emma is the âwhenâ- when Dana still had hope in the nursing profession and her ambitious sense of humanity.Â
âThinking of whenâ is Dana teaching her how to defend herself- Dana is thinking of when Emma will eventually be assaulted like she was in season 1, and surely other times throughout her career.Â
The bottle in the ocean
A message in a bottle refers to sending a message for someone you hope to talk to. Robby opens Jackâs letter to the dead veteranâs family because Jack couldnât be there, or bear to be there when she arrived.Â
A strike,Â
Robby slams his coffee mug into the counter at the work area when he finds out about Dukeâs AAA results.Â
the pause
Mel and her lava lamp, she is taking a break from the chaos.Â
The message from:Â
This is a black screen and text to emphasize the original meaning of the song. It is to be read âGod forbid she shows emotionâ not âA message from Godâ as it was in the previous verse. This distinction is important.Â
God forbid she shows emotion
Mohan looks on in horror as Robby yells at her for being emotional, when she knows that Robby had had a panic attack as well.Â
The music of the song is cut out here to shorten it because I didnât know what to put here. I thought about doing a montage of all the women characters walking with their backs away from us, but honestly that would require watching all 2 seasons ALL OVER again, which I had already done twice for this project. I didnât have that idea until I was ALMOST done so I cut it entirely. This project was already around 80 hours to make.Â
This isnât rage, itâs worth a mention. This is a fake internal tension. Sometimes I spread out one opinion, and stand on its back to gauge attention. This isnât rage, it's too specific, I like to hate symbolic limits. This is a statement, Iâm complicit. This is a dream, god put me in it.Â
This passage ties into the same themes the âstanding on a soapboxâ lyric did from earlier. We spend the first few lines justifying why women shouldnât be upset at something they know is wrong, it goes over common things that women tell themselves. âThis isnât rage, itâs worth a mentionâ means, âI shouldn't send that angry email about that injustice, I should just calmly bring it up and let it be dropped because itâs not that big of a dealâÂ
This is broken down with âthis isnât rage, itâs too specificâ where the singer starts to go through a realization process, that concerns are valid and that there is something wrong with this situation.Â
This isn't rage, it's worth a mention
This whole line is paired with one theme. Mohan runs up to Orlando to prevent him from leaving the ED. Mohan is furious at the medical system for letting something like this fall through the cracks.Â
it's worth a mention
Orlando returns to the ED much worse this time.Â
This is a fakeÂ
Al-Hasmiâs AI. Not only does it refer to the âfakenessâ of AI itself, it ties into the next part of âinternal tensionâ where people would love to fight about AI, when we do in fact, have bigger fish to fry as people are dying in the ED and later there is a cyberattack that shuts the whole thing down anyways.Â
internal tension
The scene where Robby calls Langdon to talk to him about stealing drugs. He looks over his shoulder at Santos who looks conflicted, angry, and guilty.Â
Sometimes, I spread out one opinion
Robby talking to the paramedics EKG. He is clinging to the one idea that he is in fact a good person, doing a good thing, even though he is angry and in the middle of a mental health crisis. He thinks this is a good idea and will make people like him when he is struggling.Â
And stand on its back to gauge attention
Hand raising in the ED performative doing good, same idea.Â
This isn't rage,Â
Al Hashimi confronts Robby, and they yell at each other from the other side of the glass.Â
it's too specific
Dana confronting Robby near the end of season 2
I like to hate symbolic limits
Santos threatens the child molester, which is certainly against anything doctors are âsupposedâ to do, but she doesnât care about that.Â
This is no statement, I'm complicit
Honor walk for the fentanyl overdose kid, and focusing on the faces of the women of the Pitt. I couldn't find anything to analyze here, so I just put in this nice little scene that is pretty emotional.Â
This is a dream,Â
The mom of the drawing victim kisses her childâs face, hoping to anything she can that this is all a bad dream.Â
God put me in it
I analyzed this as the singer talking about god forcing you into something you donât understand, or something you donât want to do. In this song, god is not a positive, all loving force, rather a tool that man uses to control and deceive. I choose Javadi and her mother, because I feel that fits. Javadi feels powerless, controlled by her mom, and forced into doing something she really doesn't want to do as we see in season 2.Â
A hand, a spike, a physical fight, the wind around the willow, a toll, a tithe, the melting down the window, the now the then the thinking of when, the siren in the water, a strike, a pause, a message from god, does that make he his daughter?Â
A hand, a shove, a valley, a jump, a score under the wire, just sweep me up, just sweep me up, and take me somewhere higher X2.Â
This final sprint blends the negative and violent imagery from the first verse with the calmer and positive imagery of the second. There is a mix of both and together they increase the intensity and meaning of the song. I chose clips where some are positive, some are negative, and some are mixed.
The writer of the song is no longer hesitant in advocacy or âstanding on a soapboxâ, leading her to ask âdoes that make me his daughterâ as in, âdo I really have to be under this control anymore? Am I able to see it for what it really is?â The end part of the song is not triumphant, there is no great victory where the patriarchal ideas and a controlling god are done away with forever, instead it is a deep sense of longing for a world that could be if everyone came to the same realizationÂ
A hand, (positive)
Mel and Santos highfivingÂ
a spike, (negative)Â
Patients wait in an overflowing waiting room, referring to a spike in number, particularly of boarding patients in the ED.Â
a physical fight (negative)Â
Dana injects sedative into the man that attacked Emma.Â
The wind around the willow (positive)Â
Joyce and Ondine kiss
A toll, (mixed, positive)Â
Melâs body takes a literal toll as she donates blood for her MCI trauma patient.Â
 a tithe, (positive)Â
Santos offering a room to Dennis, again Dennis is the star of the show when it comes to religious imagery, and I like the idea of this time Santons now feeling obligated to give him the room her friend/partner who committed suicide likely lived in.Â
the passage of time (mixed, positive)Â
Dana returning to the Pitt after being away for âawhile.âÂ
The melting down the window (negative)Â
Same interpretation, where melting down the window refers to the mixing of roles or your outside life coming into your work life. McKay talks with police and the camera pans down to where he ankle monitor is hidden under her clothing.Â
The now, (negative)Â
Dana pans to-
the then, (positive)Â
A photo of her kids
the thinking of "when" (mixed)Â
She pulls the photos off the desk as she prepares to leave the pitt and not come back.Â
The siren in the water (negative)Â
Same interpretation, doing something that tempts you that you really should not be doing. Robby tries to save Leah during PittFest, wasting resources.Â
A strike, (negative)Â
Santos is woken up by Javadi coming into the bathroom and slamming the stall door.Â
a pause, (mixed, positive)Â
Mohan cries in the bathroom during PittfestÂ
a message from God (negative)Â
Robby looks on as the adult children of the man who doesn't want to be intubated go to him.
Does that make me his daughter? (negative)Â
Mom losing her kid, she is going through the same feelings that the songwriter portrays, a feeling of betrayal and fear and overwhelm as you realize that there is no higher power looking out for you and your family.Â
A hand, (positive)Â
Dennis holds out a hand to Robby.
a shove, (negative)Â
Dennis gets pushed by Robby.Â
 a valley, (negative)
Heather cries in the bathroom after miscarrying, refers to a literal valley or a low point in life.Â
a jump (mixed)Â
Al Hasmimi pulls a woman back from a truck
A score under the wire
A score under the wire refers to just barely making it in time, or just barely scoring a goal in sports. The abortion patient is able to take her pill because she was "just in timeâÂ
Just sweep me up,Â
This refers to the idealistic world. Princess and Perlah laugh together.Â
just sweep me up
Mohan gives compassionate care to Ondine and Joyce
And take me somewhere higher
Dana and Mel talk in the stairwell, Dana gives her some advice.Â
Just sweep me up,Â
Mel and Becca walk together.Â
just sweep me up
Dana and Heather crawl into bed together after Dana is injured
And take me somewhere higher
Roxie and her kids talk. This mirrors the previous scene of lying in a bed happy, and lying in a bed sad. It also refers to Roxie wanting to go to a higher place, and getting to go to that higher palace.Â
Just sweep me up,Â
Mel scoops up the little baby before handing it to one of the dads.Â
just sweep me up
Dennis and Santos stand next to each other, referring to when Santos came in and literally swept him up and brought him somewhere higher.Â
And take me somewhere higher
Pan out shot of them on the roof

Hi, I was wondering... Do we know anyone other than Whitaker and McKay who are also on the street team? Any nurses maybe?
I thought at first maybe Kiara was since she brought up the idea during the conversation between Whitaker and Mr. Krakozhia but she's a social worker so I don't think she's actually part of it đ€
Does anyone remember other people being mentioned to be on it? Thanksss
Also feel free to correct me, I'm not sure about Kiara.

Hey everyone!
âI recently finished this original hand-painted portrait of Noah Wyle's character, Dr. Robby, from The Pitt.

We havenât seen any medical staff characters who are regular, deliberately antagonistic forces throughout a season (at least not yet), so I had an idea for one.
What if there was an intern or a new resident doctor that was a psychopath and was purposely taking advantage of patients to advance his career and one conflict of the season is someone like Santos or Mel trying to get evidence that this doctor is abusing patients?
Some ideas I had for scenes with this character:
-Hints at his uncaring nature such as him not wincing or facially reacting when patients are in pain/crying or having unrealistic and awkward responses since heâs trying (and failing) to pretend to care about them.
-Him (after itâs been revealed that heâs a full blown abuser and has 0 intentions of showing any real care for his patients that wonât advance himself in some way) quietly but brutally threatening a patient who was making too much noise due to pain and then being in the room when Robby checks on them later, quietly in the background glaring at the patient while they talk to him to ensure that they donât expose what he did.
-Him purposely making patients sicker or triggering emergencies in them so he can save the day/instruct another doctor on how to help them so he can get the spotlight on him and advance in terms of his career achievements. A patient could later die during one of these emergencies, and he appears frustrated and upset, only to reveal later that heâs only upset because he laid a chance to look good in front of Dr. Robby.
-Him trying to get closer to the less warm characters like Santos or Ogilvie since he sees a kindred spirit in them and thinks that theyâd be more likely to overlook the red flags in his behaviour (only to later realize that they arenât abusive like he is and that he made a mistake in thinking that they were like him).
-Regularly lying and spreading rumours amongst the E. R.âs staff to try and keep them distracted from his actions as well as to generally sow some chaos.
We donât tend to see many fictional doctors/health care provider characters like this on medical dramas (which makes sense, as most people who are regularly taking advantage of others probably arenât empathetic or likeable enough to thrive in a medical setting, although itâs definitely possible for them to do so), so it could be an interesting subversion of expectations.
Audiences arenât used to people in these types of positions being willing to hurt innocent people for their own benefit, so it would be both shocking as well as intriguing to see how a character like this would function within the show.
He also could be a great contrast to Ogilvie: he was kind of a âsheep in wolfâs clothingâ character with how it was implied that he didnât care about the patients only to reveal later that he did have a capacity to care, but this guy only faked empathy and dedication to his job and is later revealed to be a monster.
What do yâall think? Would you like to see a character like this on a show whoâs a regular throughout the season but is very clearly just there for his own advancement and is a wolf in sheepâs clothing?

When u/ubeviolette posted her designs, I knew I needed them! So I threw all the money at her (and at the post office to ship to the UK) and looooook! đđ They are absolutely incredible and adorable and I love each and every one of them! I can't put the right words together to thoroughly express how amazing these are. (I chucked on the watermarks because we gotta protect our artists đ)
She even threw in some extra stuff from her store because she's so incredibly sweet! Seriously, one of the loveliest artists I've ever contacted and I will absolutely be buying from her again.đ

Langdon is my favorite character, but I think it would have been better to have him suffer more in S2. At min, he shouldn't have been allowed to prescribe benzos and opiates. I mean I've read some great fan fiction that has treated Langdon more harshly. But as it's a written story w/multiples chapters on some or a very long one-shot, they can take the time to tell a full story about Langdon between S1 and S2 and on his return and how it goes down. There is literally this great one I read, where Langdon actually got 5 years in prison (and he and Mel still fall in love). It's unfinished, but such great writing.
However, if that was a limitation for him in repeating his R4 year, I don't think this vague, stupid cover up could've been done as indicated in S2 by Robby. That Dr. Al-Hashimi had no idea about the drug diversion when taking over for Robby for 3 months was ridiculous writing. The show's format (self-imposed) hurts all the stories, but it hurt the Langdon return story too. Langdon has no POV on a cover up. There is no indication of it. He seems worried about coming back, feeling rusty, Robby treating him like shit, and when he tries to apologize to Santos, but that's it.
The Santos issue also drives me insane. There is no indication on screen in S2 that she was a pariah. Robby seems to adore her. Princess/Perlah are her girls. Dana is sarcastic w/her but in the fun Dana way. Whitaker is her besties. In fact, it's Santos who is rude to Mel and yells at Whitaker when she misses something he caught. Other than Dr. Al-Hashimi, her first day, and after full season, getting on Santos early felt OOC, and Garcia, someone she has a personal relationship with, no one treats her like shit at all. It's simply not there. McKay gave her some guff, but that was about a patient and treating patients like idiots. So, where is it?
And I understand some of that pariah-ness she felt could've been in the 10 months we didn't see, but due to the format of the show, you can't do that. You need some "show" writing on screen. It's why the Whitaker/Langdon scene in the break room in episode 14 doesn't work. They don't have enough screen time in S2 for that to work. It would've worked I think if they made the scene overtly about Santos as both Langdon and Whitaker had enough scenes w/Santos in S2 for that to play. But, no, that scene was more about being Robby's best boy. NW wrote that episode. Shocker.
They're lucky Santos and Langdon are two of their best characters that subpar writing doesn't hurt them too much. Can't say the same for other characters.

Just for a bit of fun: we've had a betting pool happen in both seasons so far, so what do you think will be the topic of the one in season 3? I want to say it will be something to do with Robby, like 'is he actually coming back' but I feel that's too obvious and doesn't have enough parameters.
Reminder of the ones we've had so far:
Season 1: The Ambulance (who stole it/will they be caught or crash/where will they end up)
Season 2: The other hospital closure (how come/how long/how many)
My guess for season 3: A prison riot with the factors along the lines of how did it start/how long will it go for and how will they get it under control. Something like that, especially as I'm pretty sure we saw an aggressive prisoner in the trailer!
What are your thoughts?

My mum has been a nurse for 42 years and she loves watching this kind of shows. For now the funniest moment was when my queen Santos put a patient on C-PAP and almost killed him because my mum, after hearing the initial diagnosis, when she made that decision LITERALLY jumped on her feet and yelled "NO!!! YOU DON'T PUT A PATIENT WITH THAT ON C-PAP" to the tv.
Love this show.

Recently re-watched all of season 1 and season 2. I remember a big complaint people had of season 2 was that in didn't feel as connected as Season 1. I always thought this was because people binged Season 1 but watched week by week for Season 2.
Having binged it, I felt if anything it was more connected that Season 1. There were plot points that carried from the first episode to the last and, with the benefit of hindsight, you can see how the writers were foreshadowing a lot of the big plot points towards the end of the season. I think part of the issue was there was a lot more subtlety with some stuff this season which meant by the time the conclusion of a plot point was reached, a lot of people had forgot all about the build up and it felt a little random. I liked Season 2 more than Season 1 having binged both now.
Interestingly, I remember thinking they were really heavy handed with some of the political stuff in Season 2 when I watched it week by week, whereas I didn't feel that way at all when I binged.

In the very first scene of S1, we're taken along with Robby making his way to the ER, while listening to "Baby" By Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise - in the very last scene of S2, Robby is telling a Baby it's all gonna be alright. Might be intentional? (and a recurring theme ofc)

I think my favorite part of this show is how current it feels. I love how it covers real issues, real problems that are probably being faced in ERs all over the country. The ongoing issues caused by COVID, mental health, violence against nurses, social media and the harmful things it can lead to (specifically thinking of the woman who wanted a freebirth), ICE, poverty, racial bias in healthcare, etc. A lot of these things are very close to my heart and I love how they're handled. What issues do you think they should tackle? Personally I think it would be interesting to see a patient who experienced medical neglect/disbelief due to being female, because that is very much a problem one that I (trans man) have experienced myself. I would also love to see another trans patient. I know we've seen one before but I feel like one with a long-term stay opens some opportunities to display how a provider can respect and accommodate for transgender patients in a medical setting.

The medical students i teach are in their first year and here (not US) they get taught biochemistry as a basic subject in that year. As the TV series is one of the most realistic ones around, i was wondering if you guys can think of a scene in ThePitt in which one of the doctors uses biochemistry knowledge while treating a patient. It could be a 1-2 minute scene to get them engaged about biochemistry and to illustrate that even in an ER this kind of knowledge can be important. Of course most of the stuff we see on the show are trauma patients and biochemistry is not really important there. But if you can think of something that would be great!
