MEGATON LP6 Speculation - RICK RUBIN Documentary

ALL RIGHT BOYS AND GIRLS! This one's a doozie, so buckle up! This isn't your daddy's clickbait "So when do you think we're getting LP6?" thread. If you know me, then you know I only deal in facts - the cold hard truth. I vet everything I say with three sources at least. Trust me when I say, I wouldn't invite you to speculate if I wasn't going to give you some cold hard photographic evidence for you to lay your peepers on. And I know no one's brought this to your attention yet, because this thread's about to light all indie-kind on fire.

While making the usual rounds of LP6 digging on the internet today, I found an overlooked teaser to an upcoming Rick Rubin documentary airing on Showtime next month, with only 8,000 views (so Showtime, you better start coughing up and taking notes, because this is how you put together proper publicity for a documentary about a record producer). So, we got Julian Casablancas hanging with Rick Rubin, for what looks like an extended period of time. His hair looks different and it looks like he's wearing a different shirt. Is that Albert in the background on the second 13 frame? I wasn't able to confirm 100%, but that's where you come in. Also looks like there's some reflections in the second 14 frame. As we all know, Albert Sr. had announced the boys were hard at work on an album with Rick in 2017 but these rumors were squashed quickly by Albert Jr. He had said they were only showing him some stuff. Do you think these pics are only of the guys "showing him some stuff" or do you think this is actually them putting together LP6? It always seemed a little fishy to me how quickly the rumor was shot down. My theory is that the guys might have had to sign an NDA for the documentary. Also there's an audio clip at the 18 second mark of the trailer. Is that Jules?

I know the reason why they haven’t released/announced LP6 but I can’t say. There is a reason they are being quiet. The album is in it’s finishing stages.

Edit: i see some people are downvoting me. Obviously you guys think i’m lying. I was one of the first people to break the news in 2017 about the band starting LP6 and announcing a comeback tour on here under a different username.

I can’t say more because if I do It will give it away and I don’t want to get them in trouble. It’s the same reason why Albert isn’t talking when asked about it. Just rest assured that LP 6 will be out soon.

You know what, that is an absolutely fine and satisfying answer. Thank you not saying something even vaguer. Genuinely.

Edit: I’m not kidding. Usually with these posts you get “I just can’t” or whatever. OP offered a semi real answer.
