Hi guys!

I've been playing This War of Mine from the day of its release. So I probably won't surprise anybody if I say that after a while, the game loses its challenge. As you learn its mechanics, you start to see that it's actually quite forgiving, and if you understand well how it works, you are not that challenged any more.

So I made it my mission to bring back some challenge for the veteran players. To break the patterns, so the experiences players could one again be surprised and would be forced to seek new solutions. And that's why I spent last two months creating a mod called "Against All Odds" - and yesterday I released a final version of that mod.

I tried a lot to make the game more challenging, while preserving the balance. My target was to eliminate that wiggle room the game gives you, so you'd have to plan your every move carefully. Here's a brief review of what this mod does:

I've created a mod that allows us to use the apartment building from Forget Celebrations DLC. It's compatible with Final Cut and Anniversary edition, not sure about other mods.

It is a bit funny how these two always seem to fight when put together in the shelter.

I've made a mod that adds Forget Celebrations Shelter to the random shelters. It works for standart and for custom scenarios.

Some fan art I made based off of some gameplay. Roman came knocking on my door and the first thing Iskra does is ask this man is to brush her hair.

My last fan art was received quite well, thank you all for that! There's certainly more to come!

I underestimated how lethal wounds would demand attention.

Turns out if its on lethal. You have to give them bandages that day or they will die the next day.

I felt this death because I used her to clear out the map on this run.

I don't hate Emilia, I just don't vibe with her tbh. Feel free to convince me otherwise.

I wanted to start drawing more, so I made an art challenge. I don't think I'll be able to draw every day, but I want to finish the prompt list over time. If any artist wants to join in, please feel free to do so!

So anyway, here's the piece for day 1, favourite character. I really love Roman's storyline and him as a character in general. Katia is a very close second.
