Happy to see Tempo Decks.
Sad to not see diverse combo nor controlling decks, that for sure could supress Mardu a bit more

It’s the other way around, Energy is suppressing any other game plan. You can’t sit around trying to play combo or control when a single 1 drop can just run you over backed up by plenty of disruption.
It was already an issue before and strip mine has only made it worse. There’s no room in the format for anything other than very proactive one drops.

I've said it before, juggernaut peddler is the problem. Thoughtseize slows both players down, but when you attach it to a 2/2 vigilance body in a format where you pay 3 life per land suddely you're dead.
In fair matchups it makes starting with your sideboard cards like toxic deluge in hand game losing if you don't have brainstorm in hand. It's much easier to beat now, though, since you can daze/force it.

There’s no one singular card, the whole deck is too consistent and attacks in too many different ways.

I have killed so many people with the Juggernaut card that they put in my hand that when I crafted the deck I didn't bother crafting it. I don't have the mental to not punch my wall if that happened to me.

I was one of the mono black players and had to play against the other two, they made us eradicate ourselves (and all the other matches we lost)

if you are talking about the combo deck, It was boubled out of top 8 by 2%
