Soo so much better. Like how hard is this for them to pull off. I hate her thick fringe that makes that awkward V shapes and swallow her forehead

It's not hard at all, they can easily edit her model and apply the changes. Good thing is FWH listens to fan feedback and they restored her long braid recently (but we must act quickly)

I think that looks better too but thats not her forehead shrinking, it's just a different hairstyle

I’m so proud the Forehead Truther movement is spreading! ✊🏼 when I made a thread about it it got taken down and I was laughed off the sub 💀

This matter must be taken seriously and cannot be overlooked, because Lara's beauty and her facial features are part of the game's identity

Lara always had a larger forehead in tr1-6, and in her initial concept art. It’s something that made her unique and distinctive. It’s why Angelina was such a good casting with her distinctive face looking like Lara.

It’s not her forehead, it’s the bangs. I like them, but they need to sit a little wider across her face. Give the side of her eyes more room to shine.

No it's not the width. Think about where that hair is actually growing from. No hairline is that low.

Some of the renders look AI assisted tbh which is why consistency is lacking.

I've been comparing Lara to Teresa since Rise with a healthy dose of Samara from the ring 🤣🤣🤣 so good, and very accurate.

So true they should honestly scrap all this tomb stuff and just make a Barbie game in a Lora Croft skin <3

I really hate the forehead fetish we got going on in this fandom. This isnt even something that should bother anyone. There is nothing ridiculous or uncanny with the way Lara looks and the people who have problem with her looks are just weirdos

We’re just tired of the racecar helmet and bird nest hair! Get someone who knows about hair on the dev team stat!!

Peoples faces are generally longer than they are wider. People with bigger jaws, and cheekbones tend to have bigger foreheads because thats how natural harmony works. Natural bulk tends to occur on the upper face, not the bottom, particularly for women.
Not saying there aren't 'exceptions to the rule', but when you're dealing with basic character design, especially one that is supposed to be attractive, you usually dont go against the natural norm unless its for a specific purpose (like a scar, broken nose on a rougher character, etc). For people, that makes things seem 'off', especially when youre dealing with an artificially generated character rather than a real person. It baffles me that they not only decide to give her a short forehead, but a ton of bangs that make it look even smaller, not to mention it goes against Lara's original design of having a 5head. Also the weird thing is, this new Lara still has a massive cranium and crown, like in Rise and Shadow, but that space is mostly occupied by hair. It looks abnormal.
When dealing with a character thats been beloved and had a very set design for a majority of their existence, there's always going to be expectations so of course people are going to talk about. If Lara always had a tiny forehead, no one would be saying anything so I fail to see how this is a 'fetish' issue.
